Morning prep is easily one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph. 🤍

It’s not just about the makeup brushes or the setting spray—it’s about the quiet anticipation, the shared laughs over a phone screen, and having the space to just breathe before the day officially kicks off.

My goal during bridal prep is simple: blend into the background, let the morning unfold naturally, and capture the real, unscripted energy of your favourite people. No awkward posing, just genuine memories.

Everyone loves the intimate close-ups, but there’s something unmatched about a massive, unscripted group shot where everyone gets a moment.

When you look closely at a wide frame like this, you start noticing all the mini-stories happening at once.

My rule for wedding party photos? No stiff lines, no awkward standing on display, and absolutely no forced smiles. 🙅‍♂️🥂

Instead, we grab your favorite people, take a walk, have a laugh, and let the real energy of your friendships show up naturally. It’s way more fun, it completely kills the photo-stress, and you end up with memories that actually feel like you.

There are moments in a wedding day that you just can’t script. This first look between Melissa and her dad at The Barn at Willerby Hill was one of them. Swipe to see the bridal party completely losing it in the background. 😭❤️

This is exactly why I skip the awkward, forced posing. When you let the day just flow naturally, the real, raw emotion takes over—and those are the memories you actually want to keep forever.
