This Mama’s getting her groove back … a somewhat vulnerable post from me tonight. I’ve struggled with some bizarre health issues over the last few years and it’s really affected my self confidence and appearance.
Allergies I didn’t know I had were trying to kill me off on a regular basis while migraines, perimenopause and PMDD simultaneously kicked my arse.
I’ve had to learn new ways to help my body and mind to heal while completely changing my diet - it’s really not been easy (but I know people going through way worse). I even stopped photographing weddings and focused more on brand photography because it was less physically and emotionally demanding.
I finally feel like I’m doing much better; got a good HRT regime going, migraine prevention meds, I’m back at the gym, taking enough supplements to open a health store and doing the little things that make me feel like myself again.
It might sound silly but getting my nails done (thank you Emilia) and having my extensions re-fitted today (love to Katie) has also had a hugely positive impact. Massive thanks to Hayley for really looking after my locks for the last 3 years ready to get me to this point.
Finding time to look after yourself in any way that makes you feel good is so important. Just your reminder to do the things that make you feel like yourself and allow yourself to feel that joy ❤️
