𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗥𝗧𝗖 𝗗𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

During Harrington Marina funday 26 - coastal communities, Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service delivered a live Road Traffic Collision (RTC) demonstration, giving members of the public an insight into the work carried out by emergency services when responding to serious road traffic collisions.

Crews from Workington Fire Station, attending on a reserve appliance, worked alongside crews from Whitehaven Fire Station to demonstrate vehicle extrication techniques, including the controlled cutting-up of a vehicle.

The event also brought together a number of emergency services and partner agencies, including:

🚑 North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust
🚔 Allerdale Police
🔎 North Cumbria Search and Rescue
🌊 Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team
🚒 Penrith Fire Station, attended with their Command Unit

The RTC demonstration served as an important reminder of the potentially devastating consequences of collisions on our roads. The equipment and techniques demonstrated by firefighters highlight just how complex a serious road traffic collision can become, and the vital role emergency services play in protecting and rescuing those involved.

This event provided an excellent opportunity for the public to meet the services who work together to keep our communities safe.

Workington Lifeboat was in attendance at the Harrington Marina funday 26 - coastal communities, where the volunteer crew carried out pyrotechnics training within Harrington Marina.

The Port of Workington Pilot Boat Helvellyn was also in attendance.

The event provided an opportunity for members of the local community to see both vessels alongside one another, while showcasing the ongoing training and operational readiness of those supporting maritime safety across the West Cumbrian coastline.

🚒 𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗬

A selection of images captured during the recent Penrith Fire Station Open Day, showcasing a variety of fire and rescue appliances both within and around the station.

Among the vehicles on display were several 04/05-reg appliances, which have provided an incredible 20 years of service to Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service.

Having served communities across the county for two decades, these appliances are now approaching the end of their operational careers with Cumbria. Following their retirement, a number of these vehicles are destined for charitable organisations, allowing them to continue serving communities in a new capacity.

So.
The Tour Of Britain Womens Stage One happened to pass through West Cumbria, I originally wasn't going to bother headed down to watch until I was notified of the (Roughly) 40 Police Bikes.

Subsiquently here is a Selection of Images from Stage One

The Face Lifted Volvo Cars XC90 was such a Nice catch too, I wasn't sure a Face Lifted Version could look so nice. The Volvo is a Demo Vehicle.

This Next Collection of Images Shows Crews from Workington Fire Station & Whitehaven Fire Station on the Port of Workington conducting the Same Rope rescue Training.

Sadly I wasn't able to stick around for the entire Rescue as I had to nip off to Work so have some Partial Shots of Setup for the Rescue of their Casualty from Height.

Again Thanks to Both Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service & Port of Workington for allowing me to Tag Along and Snap some Pictures. I'm sure Crew from Both Workington Fire Station & Whitehaven Fire Station will see this to so Thanks to Both as Always!

Silloth RNLI Lifeboat Emergency Services Day.

I Snapped some Pictures of Maryport Rescue, All New West Cumbria Search & Rescue, Silloth RNLI Lifeboat, Cumbria Police (Allerdale Police) Kia EV3. I also snapped both Aspatria Fire Station (who got a shout and had to leave) & Silloth Fire Station who also got a shout and had to leave. Workington Lifeboat did also attend but I'll post those Shots in a Different Post.
