Duanne & Alison married at the Inverness Archive Centre, before heading back up the stunning Strathconon glen for the rest of their celebrations. Duanne is a gamekeeper on a private estate, and his lovely friends had decorated a bothy on the grounds for their special dinner, plus followed through on Alison's "crazy idea after a few drinks" to decorate a tractor & trailer for a post-wedding jaunt up the fields! Great fun, plus I got to ride up front in the cab, so that made my day! Or, maybe the absolutely stunning views around the glen did.
Either way, I had such a laugh with D&A and there were too many pretty spots to choose from for photo locations. But they featured snow-capped mountains, a ruined bothy, D&A balancing on rocks in a river and a waterfall surrounded by wild gorse.... so I was a very happy photographer!
Plus, they told me their story as we clambered around the fields, and it was so romantic, with them meeting for the first time 32 years ago, before finally getting together 11 months ago!!* Since then, they haven't wasted any more time, with Alison moving 100s of miles North to be with Duanne in a wilderness where deer massively outnumber humans... and they're now married!
Thank you both for having me on this gorgeous day, and I hope you now have many, many happy years together ahead of you.
Take care,
Alison x
