Heddon Street

Unbelievable that it is now ten years since David Bowie died.

This street is famous of course for being the location of the photograph taken for the cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.

NEW! The Harpenden 2026 Calendar - featuring many of my award-winning images taken in the beautiful Hertfordshire town - which was recently designated ‘Britain's Most Desirable Town’.

After my previous two calendars quickly sold out, I was encouraged to bring out a new Harpenden calendar for 2026.

It’s a gorgeous large A3 format wall calendar and is printed on 250gsm silk paper for a prestigious feel.

Each individual image in the Harpenden Calendar 2026 is approximately A4 in size and they look SO good I’m sure you'll want to frame a few of the images once the year has finished.

Included are images of iconic Harpenden landmarks such as Rothamsted Park, Lydekker Park, Harpenden Common, Batford Springs, Southdown Ponds and The Nickey Line, as well as seasonal events such as the annual Summer and Christmas Carnivals, Classics On The Common and the town’s beautiful Christmas lights.

Also included is an early double-exposure image of The Harpenden Arms, which became the inspiration for my ‘Harpenden Icons’ photography project that exhibited recently at The Eric Morecambe Centre.

This Limited Edition 2026 calendar is an ideal gift to yourself or others - perfect for anyone living in Harpenden, visitors of the town, or to send to friends and neighbours who once lived here.

Available to purchase NOW from two of Harpenden’s Best Independent Retailers: Serena Hart and Threads of Harpenden, both in the high street, or directly from my site via the link below.

Available for just £16.99 - whilst stocks last!

Just a quick iPhone shot while I was in town this evening…but this was too good to miss. Not only an amazing rainbow, but a person sat on one of the benches on Church Green with a rainbow coloured umbrella!

A reminder that the best camera is always the one you have with you…

Shot on iPhone, edited with Snapseed.
