A small set from my older work — three frames of the same subject, taken pre‑prom of my beautiful daughter.

Shot with ring lighting, focusing on texture and contrast rather than pose. I kept the framing consistent and let small shifts in expression, light fall‑off, and depth of field do the work. Converting to black & white helped strip it back to tones and detail, especially in the curls and fabric.

Photographing your own child is different — you’re not just chasing light, you’re trying to hold onto a moment that’s already moving on.

The weather the last day or two hasn't really lent itself to photography.. I had planned a couple of shots at Calton Hill, but the wind, rain and lack of time put me off! However, captured this moment unexpectedly and loved the idea of the rain obscuring the focus. 🌬🌨☔️
