The hunker down months feel like they are coming.

I can’t be alone in wishing summer would stick around for a bit longer am I? I know, I know. Autumn is wonderful and all the beautiful colours and big jumpers and blah blah. But you know, I’ve come around to shorts and I love being able to leave the house without a brolly, a jacket and closed toes shoes.

So, whilst resistance is futile (and I do actually love an evening spent in candlelight with the woodturner keeping me warm), I am still fighting the urge to post darker, cosier scenes and am sharing more photos from my shoot with Annika Webb | Shropshire Interior Design Studio during the height of summer in the most colourful, joyful house. And you just know that this home will look so welcoming and cosy in the darker winter months too.

And now to Vinted, to just have a little look at big chunky jumpers….

New work for Border Oak of their St. Michael’s Cottage show home. Shown here are the kitchen, dining area and utility (styled with the necessary 100 lemons, green cabbages and some beautiful wild foliage).

This home is a wonderful balance between being full of character whilst feeling extremely tranquil. It may have been photographed during one of our many heatwaves this summer but inside it remained cool whilst also being full of natural light.

Interior Designer Elaine Lewis, photographed at her Malvern studio.

Having photographed Elaine’s projects over many years, I was delighted that she opened her own studio in our hometown of Malvern earlier this year. And even better that I got to photograph the beautiful and super talented woman herself in a space full of natural light that reflects her style and incredible eye for detail.

Capturing designers and creatives in their own space is always so special—especially when it’s someone whose work you’ve admired for a long time. Swipe to see more of this gorgeous light-filled studio!

A cosy and luxurious bedroom, photographed for the incredibly talented Eighteen Interior Design in the Cotswolds. The last photo makes me want to teleport myself there and curl up with a good book and a hot chocolate (the slight change in temperature the last couple of days already has me moving away from the iced coffees).

You may have spotted these two on my stories recently…

These are a sneak peak at a shoot with the fabulous Annika Webb | Shropshire Interior Design Studio last month. This is such a happy, joyful home, bursting with colour and I had such a lovely time capturing it with Annika.

Looking forward to sharing more from this shoot very soon. Have a super day.

And I’m back!

It’s been a busy summer so far, full of great adventures. Though I might just need to learn how to take proper holidays next year, with a bit more time spent horizontal.

It’s also been a summer full of fabulous shoots and I’m so looking forward to sharing more of what I’ve been working on. I’m kicking off with photos from one of the many recents shoots with Border Oak . Shot in West Herefordshire, this barn inspired home is part of a hamlet of houses designed by Border Oak, each one beautiful and individually crafted.

When I grown up, I want to have my very own dressing room (and I promise to keep it tidy, honest).

This master suite and dressing room effortlessly balances refined luxury with an incredible sense of flow. Every detail works in harmony to keep the space feeling open, intentional, and endlessly inviting.

Sun-filled days, wild flowers, heaped bowls of salad, homemade ice lollies.

I’ve been back from my big walk for almost a week now and I’ve been enjoying all the comforts of home and not living out of a backpack. It was such a wonderful adventure, days filled with putting one foot in front of the other in a peaceful solitude that only comes from being outdoors on your own. I’ll keep the happiness of those days with me for a very long time indeed.

Besides having a bit necessary heel-healing, I’ve returned unscathed and raring to get straight back into a busy summer of fabulous interior shoots.

These dining room and kitchen photos are from a great shoot in Cheltenham with the fabulous duo Oscar Wren a couple months back.

And with that, I’m off on my walking ‘holiday’ for the next week and a bit. Today I’m setting off for County Durham to stay overnight before starting the second half of the Pennine Way, the first half of which I did 10 years ago to mark finally quitting my part time jobs to become fully freelance. Despite having done my photography degree years before, I was still waiting for someone to give me permission. Until I realised that that wasn’t how it worked 🤪. Walking the last stretch felt like a perfect way to celebrate 10 years of self employment.

Though I have to admit that part of me wishes I took holidays that look like actual holidays (this to me means being mostly horizontal and not walking 15-20 miles a day). Maybe next year 😆.
