Your ride deserves to be seen in high definition. 🎥✨As a freelance photographer behind Simotofoto, my goal is always to freeze that perfect moment of man/woman machine, and the open road. That is why I am incredibly proud to be working alongside , capturing the incredible biking community right here on Scotland’s tarmac. No blurry phone photos—just professional-grade action shots that do your pride and joy justice. Check out the active galleries via the link in my profile!

Running for the Small Animal Hospital – My First Half Marathon
Eighteen months ago, I made the decision to change my life.
At my heaviest, I weighed just under 21 stone and knew something had to change, what started as a commitment to healthier eating soon became a complete lifestyle transformation. As part of that journey, I dusted off my trainers and signed up for the BBC's Couch to 5K programme.
To say running didn't come naturally would be an understatement! I hadn't really run since my early twenties, and even then it was chasing a rugby ball rather than running for fitness. At the beginning of this journey, I struggled to run for more than 90 seconds without stopping.
Fast forward 18 months, and I've now lost over 7 stone and am training to take on the Glasgow Half Marathon this October.
Honestly, there are still days when I have to pinch myself when I think about how far I've come. Completing a half marathon once seemed impossible, but now I'm determined to cross that finish line and celebrate what has been an incredible personal journey.
I also want to use this challenge to raise money for a charity that is very close to my heart: the Small Animal Hospital.
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals. Many years ago, my beloved Cocker Spaniel, Misty, was diagnosed with cancer at just seven years old. She faced a major operation to remove an aggressive tumour in her lower abdomen, and sadly her chances of survival were considered very slim.
Thanks to the incredible care, skill, and dedication of the team at the Small Animal Hospital, Misty not only survived but went on to live a full and happy life. She eventually passed away peacefully from old age at the remarkable age of 18½ years old.
I will always be grateful for the extra years we shared together, and this fundraiser is my way of saying thank you.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help the Small Animal Hospital continue their amazing work and hopefully give more animals the opportunity to enjoy long, happy, and healthy lives with the families who love them.
Thank you so much for your support, encouragement, and generosity, It truly means the world to me.
