A few different edits to be finished off and delivered this week, including Mark Murrell & Gary’s from their brilliant day The Engine Works

Loved this little moment with them both Dakota Hotels Glasgow before we headed off to the venue. Looking sharp, champagne in hand and making good use of the darker corners of the whisky bar.

Looking forward to getting the rest of their gallery finished off and back to them this week.

Kirsty & Sasha at the brilliant Kinkell Byre 🤍

Such a lovely day with these two. Sasha Wessels is originally from Alaska, with family and friends travelling from there, Germany and further afield to join them in St Andrews. With their closest family and friends all together, the whole day had such a warm, intimate feel to it from start to finish!

Kinkell Byre, St Andrews was looking incredible as always, and it was the perfect setting for their day. This was actually the first of three weddings I’ll be shooting in St Andrews over the next couple of weeks, so a pretty good way to kick things off!

It was also great to meet and work with Bridal Hair & Makeup Artist | Scotland for the first time. Such a fun morning with the bridal party hair and make up team and the girls before everything got underway!

Always good to be working alongside our friends Dynamic Frame Wedding Films too, and Cragganmore Ceilidh Band were excellent in the evening, keeping the dance floor going and bringing plenty of energy to the ceilidh.

And a special mention to The Little Margarita Truck | Mobile Cocktail Bar Hire Scotland . The non-alcoholic mango margarita was superb and very gratefully received!

A really beautiful, relaxed day that definitely shifted up a few gears once the evening got going. Congratulations again, Kirsty & Sasha. What a day!

Some weddings have a huge amount of energy from start to finish, while others have a real sense of calm about them.

Anna & Rory’s wedding somehow managed to have both!

It was such a lovely day to be part of. Relaxed from the very beginning, set against the incredible backdrop of Hopetoun House, before the celebrations ramped up into one seriously lively evening with one of my favourite wedding bands, Cassien.

Christie & Layton.

A proper Scottish wedding with two of the nicest people you could hope to meet.

Coming from farming backgrounds, they wanted to make the day feel personal from start to finish, even growing their own wildflower meadow especially for the wedding. It made for one of the most unique and colourful locations I’ve photographed, and was the perfect setting for some portraits.

The celebrations were every bit as good as you’d expect too. So many laughs throughout the day, an incredible atmosphere, and a dancefloor with some genuinely wild dancing!

It was also a pleasure to be back Dunkeld House Hotel & Spa Set in such a beautiful part of Perthshire, it’s a fantastic venue with stunning grounds and an amazing team who always make it a pleasure to work there.

Delighted to have been working with Charles from Charles Seed again. Such a nice guy and great to work with.

One of my favourite parts of any wedding day...

As much as I love creating beautiful portraits for couples, there’s something special about the dancefloor.

By the time the evening is in full swing, everyone has completely relaxed. The formalities are over, the ties have come off, the shoes have usually disappeared somewhere, and people are simply enjoying themselves.

It’s where the biggest laughs, the worst dance moves, the loudest singing and the best hugs tend to happen. None of it can be planned, none of it can be repeated, and that’s exactly why I love photographing it.

Suzanne & James 🤍

What a day with these two!

Suzanne Ferguson & James Ferguson were an absolute joy from start to finish. So relaxed, so much fun and completely up for making the most of everything on the day. With almost 30 guests travelling from overseas, mainly from Canada, there was a brilliant atmosphere around the whole wedding and such an upbeat feel from the morning right through to the evening.

Suzanne looked absolutely incredible in her dress from Madison Rose Bridal, with James looking equally sharp in his Andrew Brookes outfit.

It was great to work alongside Dean from UK Pinnacle Films again, and lovely to work with Erin on content creation for the first time. A massive thanks as well to Derek Dunlop for second shooting for me again.

Carlowrie gave us no shortage of amazing backdrops so this is a slightly more portrait-led selection from a wedding that, in reality, was absolutely full of energy, laughter and plenty of chaos in the best possible way!

Roisin & Jack 🤍

What a day with these two!

I first met Rawsh & Jack Doak for their engagement shoot last year and came away from it knowing their wedding was going to be a good one. They’re great fun together, and definitely not a couple who take themselves too seriously!

They married in the incredible surroundings of Chapel before heading across to One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow’s West End for the celebrations.

The morning was great fun too, and it was brilliant to work alongside Alchemé Beauty Wedding & Event Makeup Artist Scotland & Amy Johnston Hair again. Always lovely having familiar faces around during the morning preparations and such a good laugh to work with.

Jenni & Chris.

What a wonderful day this was.

After meeting & for an engagement shoot over on Arran, I already had a feeling their wedding was going to be a great one, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. They’re such a genuine, down-to-earth couple, and together with their friends and family they created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. Add in glorious weather and the stunning surroundings of Wedderlie House , just south of Edinburgh, and everything came together perfectly.

The morning was great fun, as always, working alongside Sianna Jack on make-up and Kirsty Lee on hair. The incredible florals by Jemma Masterson I Wedding Florist Scotland looked amazing throughout the day, and it was also a pleasure to be back alongside our friends Dynamic Frame Wedding Films . Cassien | Exceptional Live Entertainment | Wedding & Events Band kept everyone entertained from the afternoon drinks reception right through to a packed dance floor in the evening, and as always, absolutely smashed it.
