Hey, thought it was time to come on here and talk about my absence from the gram this past month or so.
💗
For the last 5 -6 months I haven't been myself and have felt quite poorly. Numerous Drs appointments and I was still no further forward, starting to believe I was a hypochondriac.
🙏
I have/had lost 20g in about 12-14 weeks which had been the most concerning.
💗
Just over 2 weeks ago I was experiencing extreme pain in my right-hand side. On a trip to the Drs and straight up to the hospital it was apparent I had appendicitis.
Whist in surgery they found a heart murmur, and my resting heart rate was sitting over 106.
💗
I was kept in hospital for a couple of days and then sent home BH weekend. On Tuesday morning, I received a phone call from my GP to say I had been diagnosed with Graves Disease.
Graves Disease is an autoimmune disease that attacks your thyroid, and heart. I have an overactive thyroid. The fast resting heart rate explains so much, tremors, unable to do cardio exercise, and exhaustion. Among other symptoms is Graves eye disease which I am suffering from, so you will often find me wearing my sunglasses a lot LOL.
😎
The weakness and exhaustion have been the hardest to deal with, not knowing what was wrong I was working through the tiredness.
I am now on medication, bloods every 6 weeks to keep an eye on my blood markers.

It's time now to really look at my diet and nutrition. Take a step back from working full time and work part time, and work on me, self-care and creativity.
So this page will be for me to be a little more creative.
