Rain on a wedding day? Honestly, after weeks of endless heatwaves, a little downpour was pure bliss! 🌧️

Caitlin and Jess got married at the stunning Samlesbury Hall which, if you know the history, is famous for being one of the most haunted places in Lancashire! 👻 But honestly, spooky history aside, the day was complete magic from start to finish.

Even though the sky decided to open up for the first real day of rain in ages, nothing…and I mean nothing…could dampen the mood. Between the dramatic timber beams, moody romantic light inside, and all the magical energy, the whole day felt completely whimsical and amazing.

We embraced every single second of it! Massive congratulations to these two gorgeous souls, thank you for letting me capture all the magic, cozy vibes, and absolute joy🤍🥂

Forget those rushed, 15-minute conveyor-belt shoots where everyone is stressed and the kids are forced to say cheese... we don’t do that here!

The “Mini-ish” Christmas Shoots are BACK and reimagined for maximum fun and zero stress.

Here is everything you need to know:

We get 30 to 40 whole minutes together at The Hobby Post in Southport. That means zero rushing, big buffer gaps between families, and plenty of time for your little ones to warm up, play, and just be their cheeky selves.

Instead of stiff poses, we play our interactive “Wrap-Up” game—think cozy layers, eco-friendly wrapping paper, and colorful chaos! The kids get to play, and I capture all the genuine giggles and candid festive magic.

📍 Location: The Hobby Post (10-12 Post Office Avenue, Southport, PR9 0AB)
📅 Dates Available: 7th & 14th November (morning slots open first!)
✨ Capped Slots: Strictly limited to just 8 family slots per day so there is zero crowding and zero pressure
🎁 What is Included: Your 30–40 min session, 5 high-res edited digitals (delivered in 1–2 weeks!), and 1 fine-art physical print for your home
💰 Price: £130 total (£50 deposit today to hold your slot, remaining £80 due on shoot day)

(Quick accessibility heads up: our studio setup is in an upstairs room at The Hobby Post accessed via two flights of stairs with no lift. If you are coming with a pram, feel free to fold it up downstairs on arrival or travel light!)

Let’s chat wedding styling for a sec! 🥂

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from shooting weddings, it’s that there is truly no single “right” way to do this.

Whether you’re spend months hand-making every single place card and center-piece with a cup of tea in hand, or hiring a brilliant styling team to bring your vision to life, both are completely amazing!

The best setups aren’t about following a specific formula. They’re the ones where you walk into the ceremony or sit down for the wedding breakfast and immediately think, “Yep, this is SO them!” 🤍

That’s where the real magic is. It’s just about creating a space that feels like a reflection of you two, however you choose to get there🫶

Looking back as the main 2026 busy season winds down…while it’s not over yet and I still have a busy October ahead, I wanted to take a moment for some life updates and a little reflection…

This year has left me feeling so privileged to meet and work alongside so many amazing people and suppliers🙌 They all need their own special cheerleaders, every single one!

Meeting them makes this truly the best job in the world! 🌍

This year has been quite the year for us, our little businesses have grown into something that has allowed us to buy our first home completely independently! We are so excited for the next couple of months and the adventure ahead🔑

Because of you I am able to live my dream life every single day, and I will never take it for granted- this is one happy gal!

So... what’s the next in the calendar?

To be completely honest, I stepped back because what I’d done previously just didn’t resonate with me or my brand anymore. The frantic 20-minute conveyor belt, forcing kids to sit still, and praying for one non-stiff smile... it just wasn’t me.

I want everything I do to be fun, full of genuine laughter, and completely stress-free…

The “Mini-ish” Christmas Shoots - they’re back and BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE! 📸✨

Why “Mini-ish”? Because 20 minutes was never long enough! It’s not a frantic or rushed, and it’s not a long marathon session either. At 30–40 minutes, it’s the sweet spot…giving kids time to relax, play, and get genuine smiles without anyone watching the clock.
