This has happened to me twice in my life.
First when I left uni and moved back home and the other time when I had kids.
I'm sure there will be others to come...
Sometimes a change happens and something of your identity is let go that you aren't prepared for or didn't want to.
Almost nobody talks about this. And it's so hard.
Just remember 'if nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies.'

What does it mean to you to have a nice photo of you with your child or children?

More importantly, what do you think it will mean to them as they get older?

Usually you don't have that many pics of yourselves and the kids, and the ones you do are usually selfies taken on the sofa, at an awkward angle after having shouted for them all to look about fifteen million times.

The truth is that, with you being Mum, you are usually the ones taking all the photos.
And when you shout out to your partner or your friend to take a pic quickly, by the time the phone is out of pockets, the moment has passed.

So if you're wanting a lovely portrait of you with your children, what better way to capture one than a studio portrait session?

It doesn't have to be mega posed and/or mega stressful.

So I'm struggling a bit here...
Since starting my business 13 years ago the advice has consistently been 'show up as yourself' and 'be authentic' and 'you are your brand'.
And I get it. You want to know , like and trust before you buy. Especially something so personal as family photos.
The problem is...if I don't know you then I'm quite shy. I'm a pretty big introvert and sharing parts of myself (especially to people I don't know) zaps my energy and more recently I've been trying to limit my time online because doom scrolling does not help my mental health...
so I'm a bit stuck.
Anyway, here I am this evening.
I'm not actually reading this book right now but it IS my all time favourite book ever. 📖

How do you feel about booking in for a portrait session?
Is it something you've been wanting to do for a while but something's been holding you back?

If that's the case let me run through some common worries for you and see if I can set your mind at ease:

💛 Your children won't sit still or do as they are told.
This is absolutely fine. It's my job to get them playing and laughing and you'll be surprised what they will do when somebody else is asking it of them!

💛 You will be pushed into buying more than you want.
NEVER EVER will you get this here!! Studios have a bad rep for this but not here! You will only ever deal with me and I am the least pushy person ever.

💛 You won't be able to afford all the images you want.
Payment plans are available if this is the case. Also everything is top notch quality so you know that it will last forever providing it's looked after properly. It's much more of an investment than a purchase.

Anything else you're worried about-please get in touch to ask!
If you don't ask then you never know.

And portraits of your children or as a family are honestly the most invaluable thing you can ever own. 🌼 💛
