A festival wedding in Edinburgh, handmade with love.

Oscar & Jen’s beautiful summer wedding at The Golden Acre in Edinburgh was anything but an ordinary wedding day.

For one day, the huge hall was completely transformed into a colourful, joyful festival-style wedding venue, with handmade pom-poms, balloons, strings, lanterns and decorations covering the space.

And this is what made it so special…

Oscar and Jen created it all with the help of their incredible friends and family. ❤️

So much time, creativity and love went into bringing their vision to life. Every handmade detail, every decoration and every little corner of the venue told the story of the people who had helped make the day happen.

Then there was the sunshine. 🌞

An outdoor wedding filled with laughter, music, hugs and celebrations, followed by glowing lanterns and a beautiful summer evening as the party continued into the night.

It was colourful. It was relaxed. It was full of personality.

And above all, it was completely Oscar & Jen. 🤍

We absolutely loved documenting this wonderfully personal Edinburgh wedding — from the handmade details and outdoor celebrations to the dancing, laughter and all those fleeting moments that make wedding photography so meaningful.

And then… the gallery is delivered.

The flowers have faded, the last glass has been raised, the music has stopped — but the photographs are only just beginning their own life.

Jen & Andrew’s beautiful wedding at The Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh 🤍

What a wonderful day this was! The Bonham is such a hidden gem — tucked away just a couple of minutes from the lively, energetic heart of Edinburgh, yet once you step inside, it feels wonderfully calm, elegant and peaceful.

With the Fringe Festival in full swing, the city was bursting with colour, people and energy. But Jen & Andrew’s intimate wedding had its own lovely little atmosphere, surrounded by the people they love most.

And we couldn’t forget Daisy! 🐾 Their gorgeous pup was there to witness the ceremony and, of course, had to join us for photographs afterwards in the gardens just opposite the hotel. She was very much part of the day!

We also made our way to Dean Village for a few photographs. It was understandably busy, but everyone was so lovely and considerate, giving us a little space to capture a few shots in this incredibly picturesque corner of Edinburgh.

The ceremony itself was short, sweet and perfectly suited to Jen & Andrew — followed by bubbles, confetti and plenty of smiles. Why choose one when you can have both? 🥂✨

The rest of the day was filled with laughter, hugs, happy tears and so many lovely moments. With such an intimate gathering, everything felt personal, relaxed and genuinely full of love.

Jen & Andrew, thank you so much for having us there to capture it all. It was an absolute pleasure, and we wish you both a lifetime of happiness together! 🤍

E&M’s beautiful wedding at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh was a perfect reminder that a wedding day isn’t simply a collection of big moments. It’s a story made up of hundreds of little ones — the moments you plan, and the ones that simply happen.

Some stories are simply too lovely to tell just once. 🤍

It was such a pleasure to see our wonderful Newhall Estate couple again, almost a year after their wedding. Last time they stood in front of my camera as newlyweds with their two little cherubs by their side… and now they're counting down the days until they meet baby number three!

Rocío looked absolutely radiant, Andreas couldn't stop smiling, and the children were bursting with excitement to meet their new baby brother or sister next month.

Our maternity session on the outskirts of Edinburgh felt more like an adventure than a photoshoot. We explored little bridges and the river, spotted cattle, threw endless stones into the water, and the highlight for the kids was covering Mum's bump in colourful stickers - their very first gift for the baby, wrapped in pure love and laughter. 💛

There is something incredibly special about photographing a couple's wedding and then being invited back to capture the family they are growing together. It's one of the greatest joys of what I do.

I already can't wait to meet the newest little arrival for their newborn session! This is a little sneak peek to our lovely session with this wonderful family!

Some weddings simply feel like a warm summer festival... and Jenn & Oscar's was exactly that!

A beautiful sunny day, lovingly handcrafted from start to finish, with so much heart poured into every little detail. Surrounded by their incredible family and friends, the day was filled with wood-fired pizza, lawn games, endless laughter, happy tears, and the kind of atmosphere that makes you never want to leave.

Jenn and Oscar wanted one thing above all else – a relaxed, joyful wedding where everyone could simply be present. They weren't excited by the thought of posed or staged photographs, and that's exactly why documentary wedding photography was the perfect fit. Instead of interrupting moments, we captured them as they naturally unfolded.

The hugs, the laughter, the little glances, the chaos, the quiet moments, and all the love in between. Real memories, just as they happened.

Such a stunning day with Alisha and Jonas at Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh

Some families become so much more than clients - they become part of your journey. 🤍

I first met Naivasha and Gus back in 2017, when we headed out for their engagement session. Not long after came their beautiful wedding day, full of excitement, love, and the beginning of a brand-new chapter together.

A few years later, they invited me back to photograph their growing family, this time with their two gorgeous little girls.

And now, here we are again.

It was an afternoon in the Pentlands, paddling barefoot through a shallow river, throwing stones into the water, searching for tiny treasures, sharing cuddles, laughing until little cheeks hurt, and simply enjoying being together.

These are the moments that matter. The ones children will barely remember but will one day see in photographs and realise just how deeply they were loved.

One of the greatest privileges of my job is watching families grow. Meeting as strangers, celebrating an engagement, documenting a wedding, and then returning years later to capture the beautiful chaos of family life. It's a reminder that photography isn't just about a single moment - it's about preserving a story as it unfolds.
