A pleasure to take some shots of this rehearsal of a collaboration between Sangstream Scots Folk Choir and Edinburgh Mandolin & Guitar Orchestra in Edinburgh last weekend. Quite a unique blend of Scottish voice and strings. Thankfully the venue was well lit, so I could focus more on anticipating the expressions of performers and the conducting of musical directors Corrina Hewat and Michael Graham.

So I’m not too sure why it has taken me 2 months to post this, although I suppose I’ve had a few things on over this time 🤯.

At the end of November, St Andrew’s day to be precise, the Sangstream Scots Folk Choir held a superb concert to commemorate the day, in the stunning venue of St Cecilia’s Hall in Edinburgh. As might be suspected of a venue sporting the name of the patron saint of music, it offers great acoustics and special surroundings to sing (and listen) in.

Photos are published with permission of the choir and its members. Check out their website and FB page for more details on future concerts and how to join.

It was a privilege to photograph the Sangstream Scots Folk Choir again a few weeks ago in St. Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh. Photos and videos from rehearsals now available at my portfolio site (see link). See their page for details of their forthcoming concert on 30th November in the stunning venue of St. Cecilia's Hall, also in Edinburgh.

A password has been shared with the choir to download photos (no charge) if they wish.
