And whilst Father's Day is the perfect excuse to get Dad in front of the camera for once, these sessions are very much for the whole family too - including grandparents and four-legged family members.

At just 25 minutes long, they're designed to be relaxed, natural and long enough to create beautiful memories without anyone feeling like they're stuck in a photoshoot.

Áine & Mona | The Bluebell Woods

A slow morning wandering through Dalkeith Country Park with this lovely family, their bouncy baby girl and her very enthusiastic chocolate lab sidekick.
The kind of session that doesn’t need much posing or planning - just a wee walk together and letting the magic moments happen as they are.

BABY ADAM | 5 WEEKS OLD
But still a tiny wee soul.

We started his session at home with mum & dad before heading out for a wee wander with their full-of-life wee spaniel.

I love sessions like these.
Slow.
Intentional.
Full of love.

Adam surprised us all by staying awake & alert for almost the whole session - absolutely determined not to miss a thing, only giving in with one wee yawn at the very end.

A self love chapter | Creative shoot

I whisked Caitlin, my model away for a day of adventure with nothing more than a starting point… and then we just let the day take us where it wanted.

We wandered, climbed, found quiet little spots, doubled back when something caught our eye no pressure, no strict plan. Just being present, getting creative, and seeing what unfolded. Twirling dresses, standing at the top of a waterfall, a few “THATS SO CUTE” moments while I balanced somewhere slightly questionable.
But the heart of it wasn’t really about the locations or the outfits.
It was about her.
About giving her the space to settle into it all, to feel comfortable, to feel hyped up and supported the whole way through. Because let’s be honest, being in front of a camera can feel a bit vulnerable and that’s not something you just switch off, so we take our time. We build trust, we build confidence, and somewhere along the way it shifts.
You stop overthinking and just… exist in it and all throughout the day, people noticed.
Little girls with wide eyes and the biggest smiles, waving at Caitlin like she was something out of a story. Grown-ups stopping mid-walk, turning back for a second look, properly taking her in.
It was like these little pockets of recognition happening in real time and you could see it land. That quiet shift in how she saw herself being reflected back not just through my lens, but through the world around her.
Strong, soft, beautiful… a role model without even realising it.
That’s the bit that stays with you.

These sessions aren’t about needing a reason, or waiting for a certain stage of life. You don’t need a partner, you don’t need a family - you just need to be open to showing up as you are.

❗️IMPORTANT NOTICE ❗️

I’ve recently been made aware that people are removing watermarks from showjumping photos instead of purchasing them.

I attend these lower-level shows to help provide affordable memories, not to have my work taken. Between the cost of equipment, long days in the cold supporting riders as well as capturing them and hours of editing, a lot goes into every image. I also use a platform that shows exactly who purchases and downloads images properly.

If you use a photo, please purchase it. Removing watermarks is theft and it’s incredibly disheartening to see.

By supporting your photographer, you’re supporting a small, local business and helping ensure I can continue to attend these shows and provide these memories for everyone.
