Annually I reach mid June, aka bonkersly busy season & question my life choices.
Self taught, I came to photography late previous titles included working pupil > groom > IT trainer (not so logical leap) > web & graphic designer > uni lecturer > but longed to curate memories.
Working abroad as a homesick teenager, my mother often sent me beautiful books - of which, Robert Vavra's 'Stallion of a Dream' & Yann Arthus Bertrand 'Horses' ultimately sparked my love for creative portrait photography.
As life's fickle path rerouted my dream of being a showjumper towards a sensible job with a mortgage, the camera waited.

Today the weather is grotty, my aging bones are burning & my coffee long cold - but I'm gratitude wrapping my lens before meeting three sugar dusted dogs, leaving together on that infinite cosmic journey every loving owner faces.
So on the days I catch myself grumbling over graft I'll remember what it took to get here & the privilege of what I do.
