The Edinburgh City of Literature Trust, the charity responsible for securing Edinburgh’s status as the world’s first UNESCO City of Literature, has long aspired to establish a dedicated home for the UNESCO designation and its own work. The vision is for a vibrant space hosting year-round events and exhibitions, while serving as a gathering place for writers and readers. One speculative proposal envisions situating such a building around the historic Scott Monument.
