Johanna and Ellen tied the knot at the beautiful The Hidden Gardens in Glasgow, and honestly, what a joy this one was from start to finish.

It’s not often I find myself through that neck of the woods, but it was an absolute pleasure to be there – completely my cup of tea. The space itself is just gorgeous: open, green, full of life, with these little tucked-away pockets that made everything feel so intimate and personal. Everywhere you turned there was colour, laughter, and those quiet little in-between moments that make a wedding feel so real.

Micro weddings will always have a special place in my heart, and this one really was something else. I absolutely have so much time for these smaller, more meaningful celebrations where you can really feel every emotion as it happens.

The ceremony itself was especially powerful – I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room, to be honest, including me. So many happy tears, so much love, and such a beautiful sense of everyone just being fully present in the moment.

Johanna and Ellen, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day. It genuinely was an honour.

This is something I see time and time again – especially with couples who book me for fun, relaxed, documentary-style wedding photography.

I can absolutely guide you. I can help you feel comfortable, suggest natural prompts, find the best light, and put you in the right spaces at the right moments.

But what I can’t do is create energy that isn’t already there.

If your day feels tense, rushed, or like you’re constantly worrying about how things look, that will naturally show through in your photos.

And equally, when you’re fully in it – laughing, letting go, soaking up every moment without overthinking it – that’s where the magic really happens.

The most joyful galleries don’t come from perfect posing or constant direction.

They come from couples who allow themselves to actually experience their wedding day, rather than perform it.

So if you’re dreaming of photos that feel fun, emotional, and real – focus less on “getting it right” and more on being present.

The energy leads. The photos follow.

A S H & N I K K I ⚡️12.06.26

On Friday, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Ash & Nikki as they celebrated their wedding at Dunfermline City Chambers, before heading over to North Queensferry for some portraits by the bridges.

Ash is a total petrol head, so of course her pride and joy had to make an appearance on the day too – and it honestly added such a brilliant, personal touch to the story of their day.

It was such an intimate celebration with a fun, relaxed group who made me feel so welcome and genuinely like part of the family from the moment I arrived. Thank you all so much for that.

Another gorgeous wedding where we absolutely lucked out with the weather! ☀️

Apparently, all thanks to Finlay burying her sausage the night before the wedding day. 😂 And honestly? It seemed to work, because we were treated to dry weather for Finlay and Jordan’s big day at the on Saturday.

A big thank you to the team at The Strathearn Hotel for looking after me as always. Another local venue that’s always a pleasure to work at.

Another beautiful gallery delivered 🤩

This one feels extra special.

I was incredibly honoured when asked me to photograph this couples shoot for her. Not only is she a fantastic celebrant, but she’s also a friend, which made being trusted with these photos even more meaningful.

Being chosen by another wedding supplier is something I never take for granted. We spend our lives working alongside some incredibly talented people in this industry, so when one of them puts their trust in you to capture their own business, brand or story, it feels like a huge compliment.

It’s a reminder that the relationships we build in this industry matter just as much as the work itself.

M E G A N & M A R K ⚡️

Megan and Mark threw a proper hoot of a wedding day on Saturday and honestly, what a way to do it.

I actually met Mark back in January 2025 when he sold me my car at Kia in Dunfermline…16 months later, I’m photographing his wedding. Safe to say he’s gone from great car salesman to even better groom.

Megan and Mark’s day had everything – laughter, brilliant people, and that easy-going vibe that makes a wedding feel like the best kind of celebration. We honestly lucked out with the weather too, considering what the forecast had been threatening us with.

The venue was so welcoming and relaxed, which makes such a difference on a wedding day. Always appreciate when you’re properly looked after while you’re running around chasing the good moments.

Thanks so much for having me, you two. Enjoy your honeymoon on Tuesday – you’ve earned it!
