some days i feel blessed to do this job.
not for the gear, not the sunsets for getting to stand in the middle of people's love and capture it.
that's the job. that's the whole point.
got an engagement coming up? let's chat link dm me.

you are allowed to outgrow your own opinions, your own habits, your own story.

he’s walked this same ground longer than i’ve been alive, and he still doesn’t rush it. maybe that’s the whole lesson you don’t arrive at who you are, you just keep walking towards it.

the goal was never to stay the same. the goal was always to grow.

who’s still walking beside you after all these years? 👇

summer’s done, and this is officially my first month with no wedding in the diary

loved every single second of this season, but I’m ready to get out and just create for a bit no timelines, no schedules, just shooting what I want again

excited for what’s next 📸

took my dad out for a proper day exploring scotland again
had it all planned out this time, and he got to sit back and be an actual passenger princess for once no navigating, no stress, just along for the ride though he complained about the weather
nice to have days like this again. good spots, good company, nothing complicated about it.
more of these days asap!

Mr & Mrs Cunningham's wedding was one of those days where everyone just clicked.

blended families can go a hundred different ways on a wedding day, but this lot made it easy everyone lovely, everyone up for a laugh, not a single awkward moment the whole day.

At one point the bride pulled me aside and said she wanted a photo at this old tree she'd had her eye on, up on the hill. so we held onto the fence and made our way up, all of us probably questioning our footwear choices, laughing the whole way. worth every step for that shot.

Kai stepped in as second shooter for this one too, and she caught so many beautiful moments of her own along the way genuinely added so much to the story of the day.

and then this review landed, and it's honestly why i do this job. no forcing poses, no performing for the camera just being there quietly and catching what actually happens. means more than you know, Vicky & the Cunninghams, thank you for trusting us with your day

the moments nobody plans for are always the ones that stick

the groom losing it laughing before he’s even said a word. a father pulling his daughter in for a hug that says more than any speech could. two mates on the dance floor showing everyone how it’s done, completely unbothered. that quiet moment between a husband and wife where nobody’s performing for the camera, they’re just there.

you can plan a timeline down to the minute, but you can’t plan any of this. this is the stuff that happens in the gaps while everyone thinks nothing’s being photographed.

these are always my favourites. not the posed ones, not the ones everyone’s looking at the camera for. the in-between ones.

save this if you’re getting married and want a photographer who catches the in-between moments too

just me, my dad, and one of my oldest mates no plan, terrible music turned up too loud, and the kind of conversation you only have in a car at night.

between the arguing over which song to play next and the stretches of comfortable silence, we ended up talking about everything old stories, what’s changed, what hasn’t, the stuff you don’t always say out loud but somehow comes out easier on a drive like this.

we don’t get moments like this often these days everyone’s busy, life gets in the way, and it’s easy to let time slip by without noticing. so when a night like this happens, you hold onto it.

nothing planned. nothing special on paper. just good company and a full tank of petrol and somehow that was enough.

💙 save this as a reminder to make the time, and tag someone you need a random drive with

that feeling after a wedding day goes right…

it’s not just relief it’s the quiet buzz on the drive home knowing you caught the moments that actually mattered.

the ones nobody else even noticed happening.

those are the days that remind you why you do this 🤍

💙 save this if you’re a photographer who gets it
