Hi all, I’ve released my latest blog post. Please check it out and share… in this post I share some of my experience in discovering the need to detox from the constant pull of the world.

As embodied souls, we live in a world of noise. We are surrounded by it. The airwaves are full of it, and our hearts and minds are too.

Here's my latest blog post. I hope you like spiders!?

Dallas Willard used to say that the ability to develop good habits depended on three things. Vision; Intention; and Means. He called it his V.I.M. principle. There's a lot of truth in that and I think that certainly, from my personal experience, anytime I have struggled to develop good practices in....

Come and visit the solitary tree with me as I learn something new each time I visit it.

I hate how FB rips the quality out of your 'cover' photo.

I'm sure you've heard people wax lyrical about the difficulties of Life. That the destination is not the only thing worth thinking about.. but that its in the 'journey' that we find fulfillment and growth. You know, I think they might just be onto something in some sense. This week's blog post takes us to one of the saddest yet most beautiful parts of Ireland.

Of all the locations I have visited and images I have taken, this singularly is the one that I continue to return to. I've photographed Doolough 3 or 4 times now. The very first was literally a snapshot in 2003 as I was just touring around the northern half of Ireland, from Ballymena, to Enniskillen...

Today I reworked another image I'd taken that same day of Slemish.. This was taken with the Fuji. Using a filter from "Pattakespictures." I caught myself thinking about what others would like to see and was reminded to process it for me. So this is it. As I like it. This was what it felt like on the day. A quite day of reflection, I just spotted this view of Slemish through the trees and wrestled the car to a stop at the side of the road.

Its not a view of Slemish I'm used to, but I liked it.

So I’ve had my new camera a few months now and for the first time yesterday I have started to feel comfortable using it. I’ve always chosen well and also never felt the need for full-frame, but I was starting to think I’d bought a clanger this time.

I’m starting to think that as I get older it’s taking a lot longer for things to sink in lol 😝
