Did you know that the Newborn photography business is an unregulated industry? Which means that anybody can pick up a camera and begin taking photos of babies with absolutely no training whatsoever. And that doesn't mean untrained in using a camera. It means untrained in the safety and handling of babies. You could be handing your baby over to somebody who's never even held a baby before let alone knows how to pose a baby safely and to read their cues. When you're looking for a newborn photographer, don't just look at their portfolio and package prices. Ask how long they have been doing the job, what newborn training they have had and when they last refreshed their training.
I mean, you wouldn't hand your baby over to just anybody would you?
