Tomorrow morning, I will be writing tomorrow's date and "Free lunch on me!" directly onto the top of one single jacket potato tray in our kitchen stack. ✍️🥔
If you grab lunch from us tomorrow on Bridge Street and find it on your tray, you've won a completely FREE MEAL DEAL for your next visit—that's your favourite loaded spud, a refreshing drink, AND a chocolate bar on us! 🎁🥤🍫

Here is exactly how it works:
1. Grab your favourite loaded spud from us tomorrow.
2. Flip your tray to check the bottom!
3. If you find the message, snap a quick photograph of it right there as proof, and show it to us on your phone next time you come down to claim your free feast! 📸🙌
We open at 10:30 AM sharp tomorrow. Once that lucky tray is handed out, it's gone for the week!

Hello Congleton!

Some news. The Black Bear has new owners behind the bar, and we want to make it a pub you're glad to have on your doorstep!

For now, nothing changes on the sign. We'll be trading as The Black Bear for the next couple of months while we settle in, get to know the place and, most importantly, get to know the people who use it. We're not going to rush in and change everything overnight - We'd rather spend some time here first and do it properly with your input.

Here's what you can expect as we get going:
- Live sport on every screen, so you can catch the big games with a proper atmosphere.
- Pool and darts, with room for local teams who want a home venue.
- Pub grub done well (menu to come)
- Live music on Sundays

Once we're settled, bigger changes are coming. A refit, a fresh look, and some surprises we're keeping under our hat for now. We'll share more as it gets closer, but we wanted you to hear it from us first, so you know this is the start of something new and not just a change of management.

We're reopening tonight, so be sure to come down and say Hi!
