Farlie Photography Specialist family and wedding photographer based in Colchester, Essex and serving all of the UK. I'm Charlie Alexander and I take photographs.

I take photographs because I think photographs are important. Photographs will tell our story to our grandchildren if only we think to take them. I also really enjoy working with people. I love being a part of the special times in their lives. And my sole focus with Farlie Photography is to transfer the beautiful times of your life into beautiful photographs that you will love. I like light, the c

olour white, cloudy skyscapes and blankets. I love tiny newborn fingernails, natural laughs and confetti frozen in the air. Brick walls, seascapes and backlit wedding veils are my favourite. I am a Bachelor of Arts and have further qualifications in photography. I am based in Colchester and work all over Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and London. Love me an urban scene for branding sessions. Not even the same street can be the same on any two days. The way the light bounces from all directions, the textures, the architectural lines and street art backdrops. And let me tell you, if there’s ANYWHERE that people care less about you having your shoot or are less likely even blink at you voguing in the middle of the road… it’s London.

Benched for the week to get myself stronger. My bed is now my office. Huge thanks to my team, my clients, my family and my friends. I miss my kids 💔 and I miss my body so badly. MAY 📸
Brilliant projects. Possibly my busiest ever month. 6 weddings, 8 construction sites, 3 corporate events, 4 personal branding shoots AND event prep and marketing for HookFest our event of the year with … Of COURSE luck would have it that I did it with a slipped disc, school holidays and a heat wave. I think I need to speak to HR about these working conditions?! 😆 Good job I bloody love it! Thanks to everyone who trusted me with their projects, I hitting that editing pile (and the physio) HARD from tomorrow.

Stop asking potential photographers irrelevant questions like “how many photos will I get?” and “have you shot at this venue before?” Start asking questions that matter like “what will it feel like to have you at our day?” and “how will you get on with my bridesmaids?” Because us photographers get a front row seat to your day and the vibe we bring is everything!
