We're heading to the King George V Pavilion in Downend this Sunday 16th August for their 2 Year pavilion celebration event! 🥳🎉

Gates are open from 11am to 5pm (King George V Pavilion & Playing Fields, Downend, Bristol, BS16 6QW) and it's set to be a fantastic community focused day out with over 40 stalls, bouncy castles, music, family activities and plenty of food and drinks.

We'll be there all day with our own West 70 Photography stall, and we'd love for you to drop by, say hello and chat with us about all things photography -- or just have a go on some of the ridiculously fun things we're bringing along.

At our stall, you can enter our Totally Free Prize Draw for a chance to win a £50 West 70 Photography photoshoot gift voucher. We're also bringing along our Super Duper Giant Plinko game where you can drop a disc to win some great prizes. It's just 50p per go for kids to win toys and treats or £1 for adults to win photoshoot gift vouchers of up to £25!!

We're excited to announce that we are bringing together two of our absolute favourite things - photography and all things a little bit spooky - for an exclusive, intimate evening right here at our studio this autumn.

WEST 70 PHOTOGRAPHY PRESENTS:
Picturing The Dead: The Fascinating History of Spirit Photography

Between 1860 and 1940, a craze for spirit photography swept the globe. In a distinctly Victorian technological twist upon much older ghost beliefs, deceased extras began mysteriously appearing in photographs alongside their living, grieving loved ones.

We're thrilled to welcome death and customs historian Dr Helen Frisby to our studio in October to talk us through this fascinating, strange and captivating world. Together we'll explore how mortality, religion, folklore, art and technology collided in an era desperate for connection with the afterlife.

Featuring an illustrated talk and live Q&A with Dr Helen Frisby, plus signed books available to buy on the night if you'd like a copy. Enjoy complimentary tea or coffee on arrival, with additional drinks and snacks to purchase. We'll also have exclusive studio photoshoot offers for everyone attending - spirits appearing in your photos are not guaranteed!

We had the best time photographing Lynne and Ralph’s wedding yesterday. We have some fantastic news if you are planning a studio photoshoot with us. We have permanently cut £100 off the price of buying all your digital photos on our "Viewing" Package!

Here is how our two straightforward portrait photoshoot options now work:

The Viewing Package:
Pay just £50 to book your photoshoot for 1-6 guests (groups of 7+ cost slightly more, see our website for details). This includes 1 digital image of your choice and an online gallery to view all your photos. If you fall in love with all the images (warning: this may very well happen!) and want to buy everything, it now costs just £249 extra, down from £349.

The Everything Package:
This stays the same great value as before. If you already know you want all your photos, you can pay upfront on the day of your shoot for £249 (for 1-6 guests, groups of 7+ cost slightly more) and get all your digital files sent to you afterwards without needing an online viewing. It's all paid in full upfront and you save even more this way!

Both options offer fantastic value for your photos, giving you complete flexibility in what you choose to book. We're always working hard to see how we can create savings and pass on the best possible value to our customers. We're dedicated to always being great value for money.
