When should you book your newborn session if your baby hasn't arrived yet?

I recommend booking your session for around 2 weeks after your due date.

Don’t worry — this can be easily changed once your baby arrives. By booking ahead, you’re simply securing your space so it’s one less thing to think about later.

Those early weeks fill up quickly, and having it booked means everything is ready for you when your baby is here

There’s something so special about natural newborn poses

The way your baby curls into you, stretches, yawns, or rests softly in your arms — these are the moments that are real. Nothing forced, nothing styled… just exactly as they are in these first fleeting weeks.

Natural posing means your baby stays comfortable, safe, and relaxed.

Newborn safety is always my priority 🤍

When I photograph your baby, everything is led by them — their comfort, their needs, and their natural rhythm. I never force poses, and I keep everything gentle, supported, and baby-led at all times.

In-home sessions are especially lovely because your baby is already in a safe, familiar environment — your arms, your sofa, your space.

I photograph families in the comfort of their own homes, because I truly believe that’s where the real story begins. Those first few weeks with your newborn are filled with quiet, meaningful moments — and your home holds so much of that story.

From tiny details like favourite toys and Moses baskets, to bedrooms, family spaces, and even heirlooms that have been passed down — it all matters. These are the pieces that make your story uniquely yours.

And please don’t worry if you don’t have a nursery — many families don’t. I’ll gently capture the details that are there, creating something just as beautiful, personal, and full of meaning.

when is the best time for a newborn photoshoot?

after 15 years photographing newborns my answer still remians the same.

When YOU are ready. that is it, for some its the first week, others 7 or 12 weeks. At Lisa Victoria Photography I can photograph all age newborns and guarantee my high-quality images every time.

The bloom lasts just a few weeks.
The colours are unreal.
The rows create dreamy leading lines through the flowers.

I’ll be offering a limited number of short, relaxed outdoor sessions that day.

Once the bloom finishes, that’s it until 2027.

The Confetti Flower Fields run from

🌸 20 June – 5 July 2026 🌸

Tickets go on sale mid-March, so I’ll be organising bookings before they sell out. £45 to book with me or no session fee if you are on the Baby Plan

After blooming, the petals are hand-picked and dried to become biodegradable wedding confetti 🌿

Daytime sessions are bright and joyful.

I’ll be photographing on Sunday 5th July 2026.

Let me tell you all about the confetti flower fields ...

Did you know “confetti flowers” are actually called delphiniums?

They’re grown especially to be dried and turned into natural petal confetti — which means these fields don’t just look beautiful… they become part of weddings all over the country.

💜 The colours you see? They’re real.
No filters needed.
Blues, pinks, purples and whites stretching as far as you can see.

They only bloom for a short window each year — usually just a few weeks.

And honestly? It’s one of the most magical backdrops I photograph all summer.
