Charlotte & Will are exactly the kind of couple who remind you that weddings don’t have to follow anyone else’s rules 🖤

The day kicked off at Charlotte’s home, where she got ready with her favourite people before an emotional first look with her dad ahead of walking down the aisle. There were tears, hugs and alllll the good stuff.

Then it was off to Devil’s D**e Farm, where the outdoor ceremony space was looking sooo good amongst the Sussex hills. Will was waiting for his bride, surrounded by a crowd of friends and family who were absolutely ready to celebrate.

These two absolutely nailed the personal touches. Their confetti cones were made from old recipes and mental health advice sheets- a brilliant nod to their lives and careers, with Charlotte working as a mental health nurse and Will as a chef. Thoughtful, meaningful and completely them.

After a ceremony packed with happy tears and huge grins, everyone lined up for a confetti shower back down the aisle before the party really got started.

And what a party. Will, being one of Brighton’s seriously talented chefs, had enlisted his mates to help create an incredible wedding feast. There were cool details everywhere, including perhaps the most rock ‘n’ roll wedding platter I’ve seen- ci******es and painkillers sitting proudly amongst the wedding chaos. Iconic.

We snuck away for some portraits while a few rain clouds rolled dramatically across the Downs, but Charlotte and Will couldn’t have cared less. They were too busy laughing, cuddling and soaking up every second together.

A few brilliant speeches later, I left them exactly where they belonged - surrounded by their favourite people, great food, plenty of drinks and ready to dance the night away.

So cool, completely themselves and not interested in doing anything by the book. My favourite kind of wedding 🖤

PROPOSAL AT THE SEVEN SISTERS 💍

Ryan got in touch with me all the way from Canada to help plan his proposal to Kiara while they were visiting the UK 🥹🇨🇦

They’d always wanted to see the Seven Sisters cliffs, so it felt like the perfect spot for such a big moment. With the sea breeze, those incredible views, it was so lovely to witness 💍

Afterwards we headed down to the beach for some photos while they soaked it all in together. Very cute, very emotional and very windswept in the best possible way 🌊

Rosie & Tom 🤍

A small ceremony at Brighton Town Hall surrounded by their nearest and dearest, followed by the loveliest little wander around Brighton together.

We escaped the crowds for some photos around town before they found a quiet moment in the Pavilion Gardens to read their personal vows to each other and honestly… it was such a beautiful pause in the middle of the day 🥹

After a few more photos by the sea, a very necessary Mr Whippy stop for Rosie 🍦 (pregnancy cravings always win), we headed back to the Harbour Hotel where the rest of the afternoon was spent celebrating with all their favourite people.

Proof that wedding days don’t need to be huge or complicated to feel incredibly special ✨

Connaire & Clare at Pelham House last month 🤍

One of those wedding days that just felt good from start to finish. Super intimate, zero fuss, loads of emotion and the kind of atmosphere where everyone actually slows down and soaks it all in. There were happy tears during the ceremony, hugs that lasted a little longer than usual and the sweetest speeches over dinner surrounded by their favourite people.

And instead of a big dance floor moment, Clare disappeared and came back in her Lucy & Yaks ready for board games with their guests! Iconic behaviour. Monopoly over a first dance? Absolutely here for it.
Proof yet again that wedding days don’t need to follow a blueprint to be unforgettable 🫶

Also very excited to be back in Lewes tomorrow for another wedding day ✨

There’s just something about 35mm film… the grain, the colours, the little imperfections that make everything feel a bit more real. I used to LOVE shooting film at college and uni and spending hours in the darkroom…35mm film reminds me how and why I fell in love with photography in the first place!

I’ve been toying with the idea for a while, and this year I’m finally going to start bringing a film camera along to weddings to see how it fits into the day 🎞️

Don’t worry – digital isn’t going anywhere (I’m not about to risk your once-in-a-lifetime moments on a roll of film alone 😅), but I love the idea of weaving in those nostalgic, slightly dreamy frames alongside everything else.

Film has this way of slowing things down. It makes you shoot more intentionally, notice the in-between bits, and lean into the atmosphere rather than chasing perfection… which feels very aligned with how I think weddings should be anyway.

So if you’re getting married this year and fancy being part of my little film experiment, I’d absolutely love that. Think of it as an extra layer of storytelling – a bit raw, a bit romantic, and very you.

Let’s see where it goes 🤍

YOU’RE JUST TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ✨

Brighton really showed up for Izzy & Shani 💛

Sunshine, colour everywhere, and a whole lot of love at Brighton Town Hall - one of those days that just felt good from start to finish.

Izzy (she/her) & Shani (they/them) fully leaned into doing things their way - cute, quirky, colourful outfits and a guest list that absolutely delivered on the “wear colour” brief 🌈 The ceremony was such a joy… heart felt moments, everyone grinning, a few happy tears, all the good stuff!

We wandered down to the seafront after for photos for the perfect mix of sunshine, sea, and the two of them just being completely themselves together. Just good vibes and a lot of laughter!

Then over to The Greenhouse for a super cute reception - speeches from friends and family, a buffet that Izzy and Shani had put together themselves, and a first dance played live by their friend which just made it all feel even more personal.

Proof that weddings don’t need to follow any kind of rulebook to be perfect - just make it yours and the rest falls into place ✨

Thinking about a pre-wedding shoot but not 100% sure if it’s your thing? Here’s your sign to go for it 👇

It’s basically a chance to hit pause on the chaos of planning and just hang out together… no timelines, no guests, no pressure. Just you two being you.

You get comfy in front of the camera (promise it’s way less awkward than you think), figure out what actually feels natural, and realise you don’t need to “pose” to get amazing photos.

Plus… it means on your wedding day you already know what to expect, so it all feels easy and relaxed rather than like “omg what do we do with our hands??”

Also, let’s be honest - it’s a great excuse to go somewhere you love. Beach walk, city wander, countryside pub stop… make it a little date and I’ll just tag along capturing it all 🥂

The photos in this carousel are a perfect example of that in real life - Laura and Matt’s pre-wed around Brighton (where they live and are getting married), wandering the beach, cute little streets and all those colourful Brighton corners that just hit different in photos.

And then Hannah and David’s shoot over in Hastings, which was such a personal one for them - we went back to where they had their first holiday together, started down in Rock-a-Nore, then hopped on the funicular up the hill for those views looking right over the town.

No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just you two, your story, and a really nice excuse to slow down together for a bit ❤️

A Brighton Proposal 💍

Charis & Aimee had planned their UK trip and had never been to Brighton before… so Charis thought, why not make it extra special and propose while they were here 🥹

We came up with a little plan, and on Brighton Beach, with the sea doing its thing in the background, Charis got down on one knee… and, of course, Aimee said YES ✨

After all the excitement , we wandered over to Brighton Palace Pier for a celebratory stroll, soaking it all in and grabbing some super cute, joy-filled shots of the two of them just being them.

Honestly, the best kind of moments – totally unplanned vibes, loads of laughter, and a story they’ll never forget from their first time in Brighton 💫
