Scotland - an endless list of favourite places.

Sometimes the experience really is more about the journey than the destination.

From north to south, east to west, Scotland is packed with landscapes that make you want to stop every five minutes. Wild coastlines, dramatic mountains, winding roads, lochs, light… and an endless list of places I still want to explore.

Every trip seems to leave me with a new favourite spot - and a longer list for next time.

Already looking forward to being back soon, Scotland. 💙

SIDE NOTE! Want to hear about a brand new workshop launch with then keep em peeled at midday today!!! 📸 it’s gonna be a good un!

September sunrises…

There’s something pretty special about them. Softer light, cooler mornings and that feeling of having the ocean almost entirely to yourself. In fact these photos were taken last September, during a pretty magical start.

I’m looking forward to plenty more of this over the coming month.

Early starts, salty swims and sunrise light. September, I’m ready for you. ✨

Simplicity

There’s something about simplicity in seascape photography that I keep coming back to. The quieter the scene, the more I seem to notice.

I think that’s what I love most about the coast. It doesn’t always need to be dramatic to hold your attention. Sometimes the most powerful photographs are the ones that ask you to slow down and really look.

I’m drawn to those quiet, uncomplicated moments where the composition is stripped back and there’s room for the image to breathe. Like the simple metal frame thingy down at Boscombe Beach. Gotta love it during those moments at high tide combined with a long exposure. Perfect.

Typical British summer. 🇬🇧🌦️

Sun. Rain. Sun again. Then… yep, more rain. 😂

This is more like it. None of this heatwave nonsense - give me dramatic skies, moody clouds, a bit of sunshine breaking through and the occasional downpour. Much better!

There’s something about a quiet coastline that never fails to pull me in...

Rocky, rugged and wonderfully exposed, but somehow it feels incredibly peaceful. The kind of place where you can stand for a while, watch the water move, listen to the waves against the rocks and forget about everything else.

I think that’s why seascapes have become such a huge part of my photography. I’ve always been drawn to those moments.... For me, photography has always been as much about how a place makes me feel as what it looks like. And there’s a particular kind of peace I find beside the sea that I never quite find anywhere else.

Quiet coastlines. Wild edges. Moving water. Still moments. All those things!

Coastal Glow

One of my fav spots to watch the sun go down on the Jurassic Coast....

Have an epic week ahead everyone!

What’s on the cards for me? A commercial shoot, editing, India admin, (still can’t believe we are going TWICE!!!) and a friends wedding - all very exciting stuff!

A little look back… and a very exciting look forward. 🇮🇸📷

There are some trips that stay with you long after you’ve come home.

Our 2026 SheClicks adventure in Iceland was definitely one of them.

The landscapes were incredible, of course. The waterfalls, mountains, ice, changing light…snow storms! Iceland gives you something new to photograph around every corner, thats for sure!

But honestly, that’s only part of what made it so special.

It was the women coming together to create the magic of trips like these - The conversations, the laughter, the encouragement... It was everything we hoped this trip would be.

So we’re doing it all over again - and we still have a few places left! ❤️

19th–25th February 2027

Angela and I are heading back with SheClicks for another week of photography, adventure, creativity and community - and we still have a few places available.

Whether you’re relatively new to photography or have been shooting for years, this is about far more than getting great images. It’s about giving yourself the time and space to explore, learn, experiment and be inspired, surrounded by a brilliant group of like-minded women.

We’d genuinely love to fill this next adventure with another wonderful group of women.

Come and make some Iceland memories with us. 🇮🇸

The rain came....

So there was only one place we wanted to be.... in the ocean of course!

Moments of calm, peace, tranquility. That was the perfect start to World Photography Day!

Also, I couldn't decide which ones to share hence the collages - I shot 1078 photos and had 200 keepers, not a bad ratio I guess! hahah

World Photography Day 📷

This morning I shared a little insight into what photography has given me - a life shaped by curiosity, exploration and the freedom to follow the things I love.

Those seascapes are probably the most obvious expression of that. The ocean, wild places, changing light… this is where I feel most at home with a camera in my hands.

But photography has also given me something else. It’s given me a career.

The same camera that comes with me into the sea, along coastlines and on adventures also comes into the studio, onto commercial shoots and into places I might never have found myself otherwise. And that’s something I don’t take for granted.

I get to make photographs that I love, but those photographs also help fund a life that feels incredibly full - a life of travel, creativity, the outdoors, new experiences, meeting new people and time spent doing the things that matter to me.

Photography isn’t just something I do. It’s shaped the life I get to live - what a privilege that is!

Happy World Photography Day. ❤️📷
