One of the simplest ways to make your photos more impactful? Get closer to your subject.

It's easy to include too much in a photograph, leaving your main subject competing with distracting backgrounds or unnecessary details. Moving closer helps simplify your composition, highlight interesting textures and details, and create a stronger connection with the subject.

Whether you're photographing wildlife, flowers, street scenes or portraits, don't be afraid to fill more of the frame and leave distractions behind.

✨ This week's challenge: take a photo, then move closer and take another. Try getting closer still for a third shot! Compare the results and see how changing your distance transforms the composition.
