A huge bug flew towards me, big black and beautiful. What could it be? It is a Common Dor Beetle, otherwise known as a Dumbledor. Another fun fact is that this amazing beetle can move and bury objects that weigh over 1,000 times its body weight. Just imagine that 😊

The lovely Meadow Pipit with its great song. Numbers have declined quite a bit and it is currently amber listed. As you can see on the second photo, they can hide extremely well in the brown undergrowth, making them hard to spot. Have you seen one recently? Let me know in the comments.

Amazing views on top of the Three Brethren, Selkirk. Beautiful rolling hills with gorgeous colours, especially with the rapeseed fields. In the second photo you can see the three distinct, volcanic summits of the Eildon Hills. Well worth the walk.
