I have not been one for posting back of camera shots...so here's a freshly downloaded to the computer shot instead! My first ever visit to The Victory Show yielded this shot from the battle reenactment. Pretty pleased with that!!

Another night under canvas then it is on to the Light Aircraft Association 80th Anniversary Fly-in tomorrow for as long as energy reserves last.

Well, the wait is over! All of our loyal friends of the festival have had their chance to get their 2027 Midlands Air Festival savers tickets and now it's your turn as all tickets are now available.

As many of you know, we always try to do our bit to help out which is why tickets for the 2027 festival are at their lowest prices right now. Currently, children under 13 are completely free of charge and all our prime tickets such as Premium Parking and the Slipstream enclosure are currently all still available.

At the moment our team is negotiating with a number of exciting and rare displays both aircraft and balloons, with announcements made as soon as we have confirmations. So get your tickets now to see the best of next year’s summer season first.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the Little Gransden Charity Air & Car Show 2026.

After the weather in the lead-up to the show, we’re incredibly grateful that the worst of it missed us. Despite a very wet set-up, we were able to enjoy another fantastic day of flying displays, cars, trade stands, food, drink and live music.

A special thank you to our amazing volunteer team, who braved the weather during set-up and gave up their Bank Holiday weekend to make the show possible. We simply couldn’t do it without them.

The show is run entirely by volunteers and raises money for charity. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped make it a Gransden Day!

✈️ AIRCRAFT ANNOUNCEMENT – P-51D MUSTANG ‘TALL-IN-THE-SADDLE’ CONFIRMED! 🇺🇸

We are thrilled to confirm that the spectacular P-51D Mustang ‘Tall-In-The-Saddle’ (G-SIJJ) will be appearing at The Victory Show 2026!

With genuine WWII combat history, this is a particularly special Mustang. Accepted by the USAAF in December 1944, the aircraft was sent to the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations and assigned to the 31st Fighter Group at Mondolfo Airfield, Italy, during the closing months of the war.
Today it wears the striking markings of ‘Tall-In-The-Saddle’, flown by 19-year-old George Hardy of the legendary 332nd Fighter Group – the Tuskegee Airmen, also known as the Red Tails.
In a wonderful connection to that history, George Hardy himself flew in G-SIJJ in 2016 – bringing together an original Mediterranean Theatre pilot with an original MTO Mustang more than 70 years later.
The Mustang is also remarkably original, having never undergone a complete rebuild, making the opportunity to see this genuine wartime aircraft in the skies over Cosby even more special.

✈️ AIRCRAFT ANNOUNCEMENT – CONFIRMED FOR THE VICTORY SHOW 2026! 🇬🇧

We’re delighted to confirm that North American T-6 Harvard G-CJWE “Dazzling Debs” will be joining the aircraft line-up at The Victory Show 2026!

Known as “The Pilot Maker,” the Harvard was the advanced trainer that prepared generations of pilots for the demanding frontline fighters of the era.

Built in 1952 by Canadian Car & Foundry, G-CJWE is a Harvard Mk.IV which originally served with the Royal Canadian Air Force. After time in the USA as N13595, she was brought to the UK and completely restored by Air Leasing at Sywell Aerodrome in 2017.

Today, “Dazzling Debs” wears a striking post-war USAF California Air National Guard T-6G Texan livery and is based locally at Leicester Airport.

🇬🇧 CONFIRMED – NORTHAMPTONSHIRE HOME GUARD 🇬🇧

We’re delighted to confirm that Northamptonshire Home Guard Living History Unit will be joining us at The Victory Show 2026!

Formed in 2005, the group portrays the 9th (Brixworth) Battalion, Northamptonshire Home Guard, paying tribute to the local men who answered the call to serve following the formation of the Local Defence Volunteers in May 1940. (Northamptonshire Home Guard⁠)

Through carefully researched uniforms, equipment and displays, the group brings the story of Britain’s Home Guard to life – from the early days of civilian clothing and LDV armbands, through denim uniforms and eventually full battledress. Their displays can include a Home Guard Field HQ, period equipment, drill and demonstrations, giving visitors a fascinating insight into the men who prepared to defend Britain during WWII.
