I need to confess… I’ve been a little obsessed with under-the-veil photos this season.

Maybe it’s the way they feel so romantic, intimate, and just a little nostalgic. There’s something about being tucked away in that tiny moment together that creates images that feel timeless.

Like these frames from Beth & Mark’s wedding at the Clandeboye Lodge. Simple, beautiful, and full of the kind of emotion that never goes out of style.

After nearly 20 years of photography, film gave me something I didn’t realise I was missing.

It brought back that feeling of slowing down, being intentional, and creating for the love of it. It reignited a creativity and passion that had quietly faded somewhere along the way.

These frames, taken inside the Ulster Museum surrounded by incredible artwork, feel like a reminder of why I picked up a camera in the first place. There’s just something about film, the imperfections, the texture, and the way it renders light, that makes every image feel a little more special.

I absolutely love the way it looks, but even more, I love the way it makes me feel when I photograph.

The weather did its best to stop us a few times on Samela and Caina’s wedding day, but thankfully nobody was willing to give up. The ceremony went ahead beautifully under a sea of white umbrellas (although I can’t say the same for myself… I ended up testing just how waterproof my camera gear really is!).

Rain or not, the day was full of laughs, great energy, and so many special moments. It was also extra meaningful for me as this wasn’t my first time photographing the de Lima family. Being invited back to capture another huge chapter in their story was such a privilege.

A massive congratulations to Samela and Caina, and thank you for making me feel so welcome.

And finally, I can’t wait to be back at The Station House for another wedding soon. What an incredible venue.

Rainy wedding days always bring a little extra mood and atmosphere, and I absolutely love it. The rain, the soft light, and the slower pace all come together to create something that feels incredibly cinematic.

Even with the clouds overhead, Beth and Mark brought so much warmth and joy to their day that they completely lit up every moment. These images are a perfect mix of cinematic portraits and documentary moments, capturing the day exactly as it unfolded.

The moody surroundings of Clandeboye Lodge Hotel only added to the story, creating the perfect backdrop for a wedding full of emotion, laughter, and genuine moments.

Congratulations again to Mr. and Mrs. Douglas. You were both amazing, and it was a privilege to document your day. ✨📸

I feel like I’m constantly repeating myself, but I genuinely can’t believe how lucky I am that this is what I get to call work.

Spending the day with Amy and Roy, now Mr & Mrs Chia, never felt like a job. It felt like being surrounded by good people, plenty of laughs, and getting to witness one of the biggest days of their lives alongside their family and friends.

From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel so welcome, and it was one of those wedding days where everything just seemed to flow effortlessly. Days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do.

The beautiful setting of the Culloden Estate & Spa was the perfect backdrop for such an incredible celebration, and I’m so excited to finally start sharing some of my favourite moments from their day.

I also photographed parts of their wedding on film, and if these digital previews are anything to go by, I have a feeling those scans are going to be something really special. I can’t wait to see them.

Congratulations again, Amy and Roy. Thank you for letting me be a small part of such an amazing day.

This is why I love engagement sessions. They’re honestly so much fun.
