From the quiet moments of getting ready at home to an afternoon filled with laughter in the gardens, this wedding at The Carriage Rooms felt beautiful from beginning to end.

After a heartfelt church ceremony, everyone made their way to Montalto, where guests gathered in the walled gardens with drinks in hand, catching up with family and friends while violins played softly in the background. We wandered down to the lake for some timeless photographs before making use of the stunning white glasshouse, which provided the perfect setting for a few quieter moments together.

One of my favourite details from the day was seeing the bride wear her mum’s veil — a meaningful family item with a truly beautiful gown. The dress featured oversized floral appliqués flowing across the skirt and train, creating the most incredible texture and movement. It was one of those dresses that looked stunning from every angle.

There’s something special about weaving film into a wedding gallery — capturing moments with a softness and nostalgia that feels timeless. And the funny reactions glances and smiles it gets from guests.

A relaxed celebration centred on family, faith, meaningful traditions, and making the most of a beautiful & dry afternoon at Montalto Estate. A privilege to document every part of it.

✨ A moment from this incredible Kinbane Castle elopement has just been featured by Imagen in The Daily Frame.

Out of thousands of images created every day by photographers around the world, seeing a frame from this windswept celebration selected is a highlight.

This day felt like something from a storybook. A blush gown catching the coastal breeze, golden evening light spilling across the cliffs, and the dramatic backdrop of Kinbane Castle creating a setting that hardly felt real. Every detail reflected who they are as a couple—romantic, adventurous, and completely unafraid to do things their own way.

The featured image captures one of my favourite moments from the day: a quiet, cinematic scene where the landscape, light, and emotion came together perfectly. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most powerful photographs are the ones that allow a couple to simply exist within the moment.🫶🏻💕

Thank you to this wonderful couple for trusting me to document such a meaningful chapter of your story, and thank you to Imagen for recognising this frame.

If you’re dreaming of an intimate coastal wedding or elopement in Northern Ireland, Kinbane Castle continues to be one of the most breathtaking locations imaginable.

A June morning, a quiet plan, and a question that changed everything. ✨

Hidden among the beautiful grounds of Hillsborough Castle Gardens, he got down on one knee and asked the most important question. After the excitement, happy tears, and a very easy “yes,” we spent the morning wandering through the formal gardens, soaking it all in and capturing a few photographs to mark the beginning of this new chapter.

From the rose gardens in bloom to the winding pathways and elegant architecture, every corner felt like the perfect backdrop for such a special moment. The best part? Watching them slow down, enjoy being together, and take in the fact that they were officially engaged. A beautiful proposal and a summer morning they’ll never forget. 💍🌿

Of all the moments I’ve photographed, this little chase across a Northern Irish cliffside has travelled the furthest.
Some news to smile about this morning… this photo has been selected as a winning image in the 2026 Best of the Best Destination Photo Collection.

Ancient castle ruins. A bride in satin ballet flats running through the grass, her dress caught by the wind. A groom chasing after her. No posing. No perfection. Just a moment that felt alive. This is why I love elopements. The wild landscape, the unpredictable weather, the freedom to run, laugh, and make the day your own. Northern Ireland, you never disappoint.

So grateful to my incredible couple for trusting me to tell their story, and honoured to have this image recognised alongside so many talented photographers worldwide. A reminder that love stories don’t need perfect poses.

Of course I’ve written a poem about the image:
She ran ahead with mischief in her smile,
He chased behind, across the Emerald Isle,
The castle stood through centuries untold,
And watched a fleeting moment worth more than gold,
The wind caught hold of every joyful sound,
As two hearts danced on ancient Irish ground.

Congratulations to the photographers whose work earned a place in this showcase, and shoutout to this year’s incredible judges: Manuel Aldana, Authentic Collective, and Nina and Darek.

There’s something incredibly special about a wedding that feels deeply connected to home.

With roots in Hillsborough, it was only fitting that these two chose to celebrate their marriage in the heart of the village, surrounded by their closest family and friends who had flown across the world to be there. Their intimate ceremony in the Red Room at Hillsborough Castle, beautifully led by , was filled with warmth, emotion, and all the moments that matter most.

One of the joys of a micro-wedding is the gift of time. Time to truly be present. Time to share conversations, laughter, and memories with every guest who made the day so meaningful.

Afterwards, we explored the stunning formal gardens, creating elegant family portraits on the iconic steps in front of the castle before heading off with the bridal party for a stroll. The bridesmaids looked effortlessly chic, the bride was the epitome of timeless glamour, and together they brought such a stylish energy to the day.

A beautiful celebration of love, family, and of course the castle.

Hillsborough Castle never disappoints. ✨
