Ayrshire Art Deco goes to New York! I couldn’t resist the brilliant hit of primary colours and architectural structure of Coney’s Island’s landmark tower, so I gave it my Ayrshire Art Deco treatment ♥️💛🩵

Nicknamed the “Brooklyn Eiffel Tower”, the structure was build in 1939 as the Parachute Jump ride.

As a former carnie, I was in my element - loving the sights, sounds, sandy beach and the delicious lobster rolls from Paul’s Daughter seafood bar.

Although the ride ceased operation in 1964, the tower remains a striking New York City official landmark. You can see more designs for sale on Etsy : https://ronamcseveny.etsy.com.

Ayrshire Art Deco goes to New York! I couldn’t resist the brilliant hit of primary colours and architectural structure of Coney’s Island’s landmark tower, so I gave it my Ayrshire Art Deco treatment ♥️💛🩵

Thank you to the aviation engineer who inspired my Art Deco style design for the Scottish Air Ambulance King Air B200, returning from a rescue mission to Glasgow Airport. The eagle-eyed may recognise the shoreline of Loch Lomond’s Inchconnachan and Inchtavannach islands, flying in a Southerly direction. 💛🩶

Finally! Scotland’s only operating Art Deco station gets my station poster style treatment 💛♥️. Thank you to the customer who suggested this as a subject for my Ayrshire Art Deco range. I love the way that you can see the South Ayrshire countryside right through the station windows as you approach. It’s also the first time that I have seen a mini free library inside a Scottish railway reception. Indigo blue skies and and arctic blasts dominate Girvan Pier in my latest Ayrshire Art Deco design. I love that Ailsa Craig generates its own weather system regardless of what else is happening on the West Coast. The angular quality of the lighthouse and the pier give the design a geometric emphasis. The lifebuoy gives me opportunity to use one of my favourite design colours “international orange” 🧡♥️😎.
