Japanese trawlers

Not sure if this will be of any interest, but I've decided to take myself out of my comfort zone and volunteer for another talk.

If any church groups or camera clubs are looking for a speaker, please get in touch and we'll see if we can find a date that works.

Public speaking definitely isn't my natural habitat, but I love photography and enjoy sharing what I've learned along the way.

Japan : The snow monkeys

The snow monkeys were just great fun. Not bothered by all the tourists, they come to use the hot water, bathe and relax, with the occasional small skirmish.
We spent all morning with the monkeys, and had taken so so many shots. "Yeah, we're all done, great morning, back to the hotel". Only for a few of us to find ourselves trudging back up the hill to go shot another few thousand shots in the afternoon. Well, of course you would !

This image stood out, just the thoughtful and melancholic expression.

Lovely day here so have a great Saturday.

Back to Japan as I did some more editing.

We got caught in a brief snow-storm, and I think it's fair to say every one of us was out having great fun capturing the landscape whilst it lasted.

Its lovely looking back to the trip after a few months and some distance, I think it changes how we edit as well.
