I might be biased as a wedding photographer, but I LOVE a first look.

And not just because of the photos.

Your wedding day goes by so quickly, and I think there’s something really nice about having a few minutes together before everything starts.

No guests watching, no rushing to the next part of the day. Just the two of you, finally seeing each other.

Plus, getting some of your portraits done before the ceremony can make the rest of your timeline so much more relaxed.

Of course, if you’ve always dreamed of that first moment at the aisle, I completely get it.

But I’m curious...team first look or team aisle? 🤍

The best part of a wedding weekend? Having all your favourite people in one place.

A little throwback to Beth & Toby’s after-wedding party at Grand Hotel Son Net in Mallorca. A sweet afternoon in October with good food, no big schedule, music, lots of laughter and nobody in a hurry to leave.

If you’re planning your wedding in Mallorca, Austria or anywhere else in Europe, I’d always recommend making a whole weekend out of it.

And it doesn’t have to be anything elsborate. A relaxed welcome dinner, a pool party or simply getting everyone together for a drink.

Because how often do you get to have everyone you love together, with nowhere else they need to be?

It’s the people who make it special. And having a little more time with them is always SO worth it.

As a wedding photographer, I love capturing these moments. Everyone is at ease and having a good time together. And that’s when some of my favourite photos happen.

If you’re still wondering whether a pre- or after-wedding party is worth it, save this as a little reminder that it absolutely is.

Pizza, Party & Amore – a relaxed, joy-filled autumn wedding in Austria captured on digital & 35mm film.

Konstantin and Lisa wanted a day that felt effortless and, above all, true to who they are. They said yes in Eisenstadt and celebrated with their favourite people, amazing italian food, plenty of love and a party to remember.

A beautiful reminder that a wedding doesn’t need to follow a certain formula to feel special. Sometimes it’s the freedom to do things your own way that makes it all the more memorable.
