UP NORTH 👊
Last night I was attending at a cool surfmovie event at the amazing surfshop ajakhotellet.
And it's always such a pleasure to meet pure "ocean spirits", who all have the same passion for the ocean and of course....waves 🤙
The movie premiere was for "Northborn" shot by filmmaker Jacob Gerluff Ager - showing a story with Isabella Nichols and Oli Hartkopp showing the raw conditions "Up North".
Watching this cool film, made me realise how much I miss Thy, Vorupør and Klitmøller, where I have spent so many years of my youth windsurfing in these amazing and raw conditions.
It was surprising to me that some of the small things in this movie, like the sound of the wind hauling and the sand blowing up the small fishing alleys, triggered so many fantastic feelings deep inside of me.
Since I crashed and my neck was damaged, which resulted in the fact that I could not pursue my passion for being out there in the ocean anymore, I started shooting ocean pic's. And it has given me such a pleasure and a feeling of "being out there" through my lens.
I have spent endless hours on beaches, in heavy rain, snow and wind, which I enjoy so much (my daughter think I am a Viking nutcase 😂). But somehow it's the really rough, raw and windy days I find so much pleasure in, trying to explore my pictures, and the tougher the conditions are - the more I enjoy it.
So I went home looking through some of my pic's and here is a little "throw back" from a cold, rainy day up in Vorupør, back in November 2020 during a very powerfull low moving in from the Northsea - just before the "C-Virus was let out of Wuhan" 👊🕶️🤟
