The biggest question I get for newborn sessions - what if my baby won't sleep for the session!?
Easy - then they don't sleep.
I work with baby and ensure every one is comfortable, the room is warm enough, the atmosphere is calm, and everyone is relaxed. Sometimes it works out where baby falls asleep and let's us guide them there a variety of poses easy peasy. Sometimes they let their presence known and that they are wide eyed and don't want to miss a second of this party. And that's okay too. There are so many poses and angles we can use if they're awake or asleep.
What matters is that everyone feels comfortable. That you feel taken care of and relaxed. That you know I have got this and we are creating the perfect images for your family. I never want anyone to feel rushed, or that they left feeling like we didn't capture what they thought we would. Baby is in charge. They lead the way. They'll tell us what they're okay with and when the party ends. ;)
Also - I have six kids. Who are insanely busy. Who are full of non-stop energy and just LOVE being kids. I promise you that your baby's siblings do not intimidate me. I have the patience of ten moms and working with kids is my bread and butter. Toddler needs to have a teddy fall off my head in order to look at me, cool. Five year old grumpy pants needs to have a snack and do some cartwheels with me to get that energy out?! Done! The twelve year old feels like he's too cool for photos and this is all do dumb? I'll give him some jobs - he can help me on lighting and taking photos. Maybe he can take my social media content for me HAHA.
The thing is - I know kids. I know families. We do what it takes to have a great session. I've got you, mama.
