Everyone asks me, “So what is CreativeMornings exactly?” …
It’s hard to put into words so I’ll just share the photos from our last event. 🤩
I’ve been volunteering for since the WPG chapter began in Spring of 2020 and I’ve been loving this community ever since. If you want to check it out, it’s free and we meet monthly at the Forks. 🥳 It’s fun and it’s a great way to meet new people, connect with old friends and get inspired through creativity.

Such a gorgeous evening for photos with Heather’s lovely family! I had so much fun with them and I absolutely loved their energy. Here is a peek of our session under the golden sun with a touch of cherry blossoms. 🌸 It was such a joy to capture these moments for them together!

My spring minis ended with the last spot of the evening with the K family, right when the sun gets low and golden near sunset. (I do it on purpose to schedule my mini session spots so they roll into the nicest light of the evening!) It was so lovely to meet up with them again - it had been a few years since their last photos, and I got to meet the newest addition: their cute puppy Penny! And just like last time, capturing the special bond these two sisters share was so special. Their parents make a great team, and together they have a calm and joyful energy that was just the perfect ending to such a beautiful set of mini sessions. I’m so grateful for all the families who trust me to capture these special moments. I know it sounds cliché, but there’s no other way to say it! I hold these sessions with so much gratitude. I get to call this “work” and I couldn’t love it more.

I love love love when families show up to photo sessions with their personalities and fun dynamics that are unique to them - not too shy to just have fun, even though we just met for the first time! It was a joy to spend these 15 minutes with them, capturing their genuine real selves and the fun connection they share. So much love here, I could see it right away and I could have continued taking hundreds more photos with them!

The fun of annual mini sessions is that I get to meet new families, especially ones as lovely as these guys. Their little kiddo was super serious (such an observer -- so cute!) but that didn’t stop him from cracking a few smiles and curious expressions as he was taking in all the activity at the park around us. It was a gorgeous evening and the perfect backdrop for such a sweet family! ❤️

From maternity photos, to newborn photos, to annual family photos, it’s been a joy to be their photographer over the last few years. The girls are growing up so fast yet still have that excitement and energy that makes for never-ending moments to capture. And of course, they like to sneak into all the photos, even when it’s time for a photo for just mom and dad! 😂

I’ve had the delight of taking this family’s photos for several years now and I always look forward to catching up with them at my mini sessions! There’s so much love (and fun energy) between them.
