Squamish, you’re so pretty.

I loved everything about this day. From the wind (which I normally curse), the long grass, the lupins, the lush forest that surrounds much of town. But mostly, the people. L & M radiated joy, and their loved ones who flew in from Europe were incredible too. So much love and laughter. What an incredible honour it was to capture this day.

The in between moments, are my favourites. The laughter that erupts and the happy tears that flow after personal vows. They get me every damn time.

These two eloped in the best way possible in my personal opinion. We share a mutual love for Tofino. Dave and I both lived there around the same time many moons ago. They chose to elope in Tofino, just the two of them, soaking in all the things that they love to do there together. A ceremony on Pettinger Point, dinner at Tacofino, beers and card games at Tofino Brewery and then sunset frolicking on Cox Bay. The simple pleasures, food, drinks, searching for seashells, pocket cheese (yes, some Babybell might have been hiding in her dress pocket). It felt like hanging with old friends. Thank you Alexis and Dave for allowing me to capture your love. It was perfection.

It’s my annual must show my face post. Why is it so hard?! Of course I’ve chosen one where I’m barefoot, which is a good representation of how I’ll likely be if I’m shooting your wedding in Pemby. That’s right, I ditch my sandals and generally forget where they are. There’s something grounding to me about running around barefoot, and it’s generally so hot, that it just feels better to be one with the grass. So yeah, me, a large hat, and no shoes, is pretty much what you’re getting at most Pemby weddings. Don’t judge me, or do, whatever 🤣

As the 2026 starts to ramp up, I’m so looking toward to working alongside the incredible Sea to Sky vendors. I’m also so lucky to call so many of them friends. Our little community is one I cherish deeply.

A quick little shout out to team. Erin has created such an incredible brand. Their ex*****on, organization, vision and creative process are top notch. You know that every wedding planned by Erin, is going to be a stunner.

I escaped to the tropics for a short while, and as my trip is coming to end, I can’t help but feel excited for the warmer months to come. So many more photo locations open up, which excite me!

Going back into the archives of last summer season, there are still so many beautiful celebrations I have not yet shared. Like C & K’s beautiful mountain top elopement on Blackcomb. Being up in the alpine in the evening is pure magic! I highly recommend the Jeep Tour for this reason. It’s the only way to be up there at that time of day, unless you’re willing to put in the time and effort to hike.

Currently up high in the sky, with plenty of time. S & S eloped last week. Their plan A sadly didn’t work out. The rain event turned their first choice into a mud pit. But I think we found them a pretty good plan B. Snow, a waterfall and mountain view’s. I’d like to say I could hear their vows but the falls were raging after the storm. I know they were beautiful though. When she recited promises to his daughter, the tears falling down Maya’s face made me ball. A good happy cry is a weakness of mine. After wrapping up their ceremony, the sun in and out throughout, we ended at the skate park. A little urban mixed in with nature, representing his time as a BMX biker.
