My Deep Summer show has honestly been ~7 years in the making. I originally came up with the concept while at work in Calgary and tried for years to win the wildcard vote. Two years ago I won the wildcard vote and couldn't quite make the story happen, so I cut the entire story out. After that (but not because of) I nearly quit photography and sold all my gear. Saner minds prevailed and I kept at it. When I got the call to be in Deep Summer this year I just couldn't say no. I had to bring my story to life. I brought together old friends and new who I thought reflected my vision and worked my ass off to make this happen. But I couldn't do it alone. I want to thank my team for putting their well being on the line and being with me every step of the way. My support team at home for helping me keep things running smoothly. None of us are full professional athletes or photographers, but it's our lovr of this sport that drives us and it shines through in my work.
