I always try to steal Mom + Dad away for a few photos at the end of a family session 🤍

Because when I ask couples when the last photo of just the two of them was taken, I can’t tell you how often the answer is… our wedding day.

Before the babies, the busy days, the snacks, the schedules and the beautiful chaos… there was you two.

This is where the love started.
This is where it grew.
And it’s this love that created the family we’re photographing today 🫶

So yes, your babies deserve to be documented. Your family deserves to be documented.

But you two deserve a little piece of the story, too 🤍

There are so many beautiful milestones we get to preserve in photographs. Weddings. New babies. Birthdays. Growing families 🤍

But some of the moments that deserve to be held onto most are the ones we know are becoming precious far too quickly...

Our furry friends are family 🫶 They’re woven into our homes, our routines, our childhoods, our marriages, our babies growing up. They’re there for the ordinary days that somehow always become the ones we miss the most 🐾

I have such a soft spot for sessions like this 🥹 The ones that aren’t really about posing or perfect photographs, but about remembering... The way they looked at you. The way they fit beside you. The love that existed there.

Because saying goodbye to someone we love, in whatever form that love takes, is a milestone too. A heartbreaking one, but one worthy of being documented, cherished, and remembered 🤍

As they grow, they become wilder, more untamed, more visceral in the way they move through this world.

While I do love capturing the magic of childhood in its rawest form, sometimes I get to create a little world where that magic can come alive.
And that is one of my favourite parts of being their mom 🥰

☔️💦An umbrella session in the backyard with the garden hose.
🍪🌸A backdrop in the kitchen with cookies and falling petals.
🍓🥐A strawberry and croissant picnic in a diasy field.
It's not staged or fake - this all really happens 🫶

I mean... just look at them, Right?! So much love. So much laughter. So much light. The kind that has absolutely nothing to do with flowers blooming around you ✨
