โ€œWhat you seek is seeking you.โ€

Iโ€™ve been especially enjoying making double exposure images in the past year or longer. Here is a set, all made in one day in early January 2026.

Some days the street gives up something extra special. This day was one of those - encountering staff loading in fresh beer, and removing cases of empties, at one of Torontoโ€™s great live music venues . Rob, the gentleman working hard from underground, was open to me photographing him as he worked and was later delighted when I shared these photos with him. โ€œThese photos are fantastic!!โ€ is part of the kind words he gave in response. ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I found myself thinking of โ€™s wonderful images of old school Toronto, the ones featuring cases of beer in particular, as I captured these. Not saying these match his work, only that he inspires me as I capture images of this city.

Street musicians of Toronto.
Itโ€™s been a privilege to meet and photograph some of the gifted artists sharing their talents on the streets of Toronto. Here are a few photos that I have taken so far this year:

#1. Shawn James on Queen Street West outside of . ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Ilford XP2 Super 400

2. Erik by the ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Ilford XP2 Super 400

3. Peter Toronto Street Drummer by ๐ŸŽž๏ธ Kentmere Pan 200

To see a panoramic colour film photo of Peter, taken with a Sprocket Rocket, scroll back in my IG feed here to October 2023.

Thanks to these artists bringing joy to our streets. Stop and listen and give them some ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป/$. Keep the music coming!

Paul McCartney: Eyes of the Storm
A few weeks ago my friend Sammy (of ) and I went to see this wonderful new exhibit at the . I was feeling in the mood for double exposures, particularly the kind that I made here, as each of the Beatles were indeed larger than life.
This is such a great exhibit. Paul McCartney captured many unique moments as the Beatles just as Beatlemania ears being unleashed. Thereโ€™s a good deal of local Toronto visuals here to explore as well.
Eyes of the Storm is on until June 7th. Well worth seeing!
