“Here, I got you a book.” she said with an excited smile. I was a bit confused, since I had only met Lauren | Marketing Consultant that day. Maybe it was her own book or part of an offer? Nope, Lauren just loved the book and thought it would help me too. No strings attached.

And that’s the kind of person my second guest panelist is, one who genuinely helps and encourages the women around her.

This is what it looks like when a woman trusts herself and gives herself PERMISSION to be complex instead of easy to fit in a box. ✨

The world doesn’t need more boring, professional pancakes. Super clear, categorizable but make you feel NOTHING. It needs brave, willing-to-be-misunderstood, many-layered croissants. The women who don’t mind that no one is doing business like them, no one in their industry is marketing like them, and blaze that trail. (And yeah, I did just make a pastry a symbol of bravery. 😏🥐 )

The way your industry does things feels like it’s squeezing you now. You roll your eyes at another ‘10 tips to market your business’. That coach’s advice literally makes you squirm.

It’s because you’ve grown.

If growth felt comfortable then would all these founders be spiraling or heading back to corporate?

The trick is to lean into it. You’re not doing anything wrong. Your business caterpillar has changed into a butterfly and it feels WEIRD.

If you’re ready to trust yourself in away you never allowed before, then let’s go. 🦋

When someone is so kind you forget to feel intimidated ❤️

If there’s one word I can use that sums up Dr. Amanda Tobe it’s ‘supporter’. She is CONSTANTLY lifting women and their work up, encouraging them and helping them to move forward.

She was one of the volunteer editors of ‘The Trap of Perfect’ and has believed in this book maybe even more than I have. So to have her, with her background of helping people set aside fear in their careers, join the guest panel discussion a real honour.

Guys, I wrote a book! And that was one of the hardest things I’ve done so I want to celebrate!!

And yeah, I made this while wearing a pimple patch and no makeup. First day of school over here is 🫠.

But I’ve loved seeing first hand this summer just how great brand photos are at setting the visual foundation for a business. And I’ve been seeing my clients KILLING it after their sessions this summer.

I wish I could say I staged this…’😂🫠

Schools starting which means back to the office, to the marketing, to the hustling. It’s all good things but still a lot so don’t forget to schedule some rest in the middle of all that productivity, even if it’s just taking yourself for a coffee. 😘 Rest is productive too.

I’m a big fan of simple. I’d rather offer one session I believe in than dilute it with a buffet of options.

So The Brand Library is the one, because even when people booked smaller sessions, I ended up creating this one anyway because I knew my clients needed it. Waaaay too much over delivering! 😅
