🤍 Well… I have something to tell you.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I wanted this next chapter of my photography journey to look like.
A little while ago, I shared that I was planning to step away from wedding photography. At the time, I truly believed it was the right decision for me.
But then something happened…
I started thinking about what a summer without weddings would actually look like.
And honestly? I don’t think I’m ready for that.
For the last 15 years, I have poured so much of my life into this business. I started this journey when I was so much younger, and somewhere along the way, photography became more than a career — it became a huge part of who I am.
Fifteen years is almost half of my life. 😂 And when you put it that way, I suppose it makes sense why the idea of simply walking away has been so incredibly difficult.
The more I thought about it, the more I realized just how much of my heart is still in this.
Wedding photography has given me so much more than beautiful photographs. It has given me friendships, relationships, incredible couples, unforgettable moments, and the privilege of being invited into some of the most meaningful days of people’s lives.
I’ve watched this business grow. I’ve watched myself grow alongside it. And when I really sat with the thought of letting it all go, my heart just kept telling me…
“You’re not done yet.” 🤍
So, after a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision that I am NOT leaving the wedding photography industry.
I’m going to keep photographing weddings.
I’m going to keep telling your stories.
I’m going to keep showing up with my camera, my heart, and probably way too many emotions behind it. 😂
And I want to be honest about something…
I was nervous to share this.
I worried that people might see this as me changing my mind or being uncertain. But I’ve realized that sometimes we have to give ourselves permission to change our minds when our hearts become clearer.
And mine has become very clear.
I love this.
I love the people.
I love the stories.
I love the chaos.
I love the happy tears.
I love the little moments that nobody else notices.
I love being there when two people promise each other forever.
And I simply cannot imagine spending an entire summer without getting to do that.
So… I’m staying. 🤍
To every couple who has trusted me with their wedding day, every person who has supported my photography over the years, every friend I’ve made along the way, and everyone who has cheered me on…
Thank you.
I’m so incredibly grateful that this chapter isn’t ending just yet.
In fact…
I think we’re just getting started. 📸🤍
