Today’s tip on how to look better on camera

Slow Down!

Most people think they need more energy on camera.

What they actually need is to slow down.

When we’re nervous, we tend to rush our words, movements, and expressions. But slowing down makes you appear more confident, more professional, and more in control.

Take a deep breath.
Pause before you speak. Let your movements be intentional.

Calm confidence always looks better on camera.

Some sessions are extra special.

I first photographed her in kindergarten, and now I had the privilege of taking her prom portraits.

One of the greatest gifts of being a photographer is watching families grow and being trusted to capture so many important milestones along the way.

Here’s another tip in my series to help you look better on camera 📸

Lighting can completely change how you look on camera/video.
Window light is a flattering option because it is soft and even.

Side lighting creates drama and harsh shadows.

Backlighting can make your face too dark.

Before taking that picture or recording your video always check your lighting.
