This birthday, I’m incredibly grateful for many things: my wife Rachel, my girls Emilia and Evelyn, great friends and family, and a year of good health where I’ve lost 24 pounds.

Looking back, there have been some unforgettable highlights—one of the most epic backcountry trips I’ve ever done, a bucket-list thru-hike, and this wolf encounter in the Canadian Rockies, something I’d pursued for years with little success.

Thanks for all the support for my photography. It’s a joy to share these experiences with nature lovers in Canada and around the world.

My dream wolf encounter in the Canadian Rockies this winter. A moment I’ve been chasing for years, from the time a wolf bolted in front of my grandfather and I on one of our last outings together until now.

I still remember how I felt every time I saw a wolf, shaking with excitement and in total awe. Now I have a personal treasure to frame. I’m so grateful for this experience.

This winter, a dream finally came true. I got to photograph one on a snowy day in the Canadian Rockies.

Did you know the Canadian Lynx resides in popular Canadian parks like Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Manning Park? Happy exploring this winter! ❄️ I hope you have the opportunity to see one of these incredible cats.
