“This image is dedicated to my son, whose keen memory and thoughtfulness made this moment possible. Encased in ice, a trio of ice pebbles rest at the center, their presence sending delicate ripples outward, frozen in time. Around them, hazy ice bubbles as if nature itself paused to capture something rare and beautiful. Much like this image, the memory of that day, my sons reminder to stop, to look, to appreciate-will remain a quiet but powerful testament to the moments we share and the gratitude I feel.”

“My friend and I arrived at this hike very early in the afternoon. My hiking app told me that on average it takes about two and a half hours to complete this hike. It was a beautiful day filled with gorgeous yellow larches and spectacular light beams filling the mountain valley as the sun refracted off the tops of the peaks. There was plenty to photograph. As we were on our descent, stopping every few minutes of course to capture a photo, another hiker wished us a good evening. Good evening?! How was it that 4 hours later we were still wrapped up in the awe of our surroundings?! 😂 Thank goodness for other photographers who understand that hikes take at least double the average time to complete with a camera in hand.”
