A beautiful day, and a beautiful little yellow bird caught on his travels through the shrubs. Even though it is so bright and colourful it’s rarely noticed however chances are you’ve heard it as it’s quite vocal, but it stays well hidden. Managed to catch this one today in Comox Valley.

Haven’t been to see the Snowbirds practice since two years so decided to get down to Air Force Beach and watch this morning. As always it never disappoints! Such exceptional pilots, beautiful to watch. Anyway here are some from this morning. The normal formation has 9 planes but when practicing you get what you get! 7 for the first practice and 8 for the second. Lots of pics, sorry!

Stopped fo a visit to Kinderdijk which features the largest concentration of historic windmills in the country. These 19 structures, mostly built between 1738 and 1740, form a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for Dutch water management. These windmills were for pumping water. Not only that it’s a stopover for many migratory waterfowl species.
Rode the entire area in bikes and was a wonderful place.
