There’s something so sweet about those first days of becoming a big sister 🥹

Figuring out this brand new little person who suddenly lives in your home. Holding her hand. Learning how to be gentle. And then wandering off to do your own thing because, well… you’re just a little one yourself! 😍

These are the moments I love most about newborn sessions. Not just the tiny toes and sleepy snuggles, but all the little pieces of real life happening around them.

Yesterday was one of those sessions that just made my heart so happy ✨

We played. We ran around. We chatted. We laughed. There was sunshine and silliness and a toddler meltdown somewhere in the middle of it all 😂 And yet, it was absolutely perfect.

Because this is childhood. This is life.

And one of my favourite things about this generation of parents is watching us let our kids just be kids. Let them play and be silly and run around. Let them have big feelings. Let them be exactly who they are, while making sure they know just how loved they are through all of it. They don’t have to sit still and “smile for the camera.” They get to just be.

And I get to capture that 🥹

Shout out to chocolate chip granola bars, blanket games, grass confetti and “Let it go” for making this the dream session that it was ✨😉

Because honestly, if this isn’t love & sunshine, I don’t know what is 💕☀️

Loving you is the easiest thing I’ve ever done ❤️

Life isn’t always easy. Some days feel heavier than others, and I catch myself wondering why things have to be so hard…

But then I look at you.

Your beautiful smile. Your laugh. Your kindness, curiosity, imagination, and unending JOY. You light up my life. You’re my greatest blessing. You’re the reason I wake up every morning, literally and figuratively. And no matter what life throws at me, loving you has always been easy.

And being your mama? The MOST favourite part of my story, hands down, always and forever ❤️
