Hi and thanks for taking to time to check out Wally Lynch photography where we take pride in our portrait and family photography plus a whole lot more. With myself having over 20 years of photography experience and my partner Dee having a keen eye for design and detail we decided to combine our skills and
start a photography business. Now I know that might seem like a strange opening line for a photography website description but for me it is kind of where it all began. You see my grandfather (among many many other things) was an avid photographer. When he passed away I was lucky enough to inherit all of his camera equipment including a full colour dark room setup. I soon had my own dark room set up at home. I read many books and completed numerous photography courses. I was there to see photography evolve from film into the digital world and have really enjoyed seeing how much photography has changed over time. Over the years I have taken photos of just about everything you could imagine. Product photography, pet photography, kids, families, cars, houses, food for restaurants menus, brass fittings for wholesalers and the list goes on. I’ve done every cliched shot of the 12 Apostles, Waterfalls, sunsets, wildlife etc etc that the South West has to offer. And while I did get some great shots it just got to a point where I no longer found landscape photos rewarding. I came to realise that looking back through all of my albums it was the photos of people that really struck a chord. I mean think about it. You hear all the time “remember that photo of (insert family member here). While landscapes are nice they kind of go in one eye and out the other. But photos of people are memorable. They portray emotion, connection and most importantly they document memorable times. I love the way that photos can tell you what people are thinking and feeling without any need for words. It is those rewarding shots that inspired myself and Dee to start doing photography professionally. We have met some really wonderful people along the way and brought their families joy through the eyes of the camera. Let us do the same for you.
